What are these little foot-capturing-mount-plate things called?

I watched 'Mank' recently and the sound threw me off a bit. Most of the dialog sounded like it had some reverb that didn't match the visual setting. Then this morning I read a snippet from Ren Klyce that they had added that ambience to mimic what an audience in a 1940's movie house would have experienced at the time. While I understand what they were shooting for, in the moment it took me out of the story a little bit.

Hi folks, I'm interested in picking up a Nagra E at some point for non-professional purposes. I see a listing for a "Meltron E" on Ebay that says on the front "manufactured in technical collaboration" with Nagra. Are these things a legit Nagra E, or are they a nightmare to avoid?
