  1. Utterly pointless post. Have you actually ever worked outdoors with a 664 or Nomad?
  2. lets see some scans on those RX's
  3. Anybody in the UK know where to get those Remin Trikarts?
  4. I'm sure this has been covered up thread, but numbered meters are available on the 'status' page. Rich, the fan is a bitch in quiet locations, I will investigate getting it turned off while rolling - thanks for that.
  5. It's actually worse in overcast conditions. The white of the sky reflects directly onto it. Not great.
  6. Wrong crowd for that message ;-)
  7. ^ Stereo link when primary audio is being delivered on camera rushes. fyi those of you experiencing spray off Zaxcom hops, I have found I get much better range on talent radio mics now I have dropped my TRX down to 35mW. Range to camera is reduced a bit, but the trade-off is totally worth it.
  8. Except when its getting bashed into a doorway/wall/tree/whatever as he swings his 'rig'
  9. Guess what? Moaning about it on the Internet will not fix your 552. Send it in for repair.
  10. Tape down the audio controls.
  11. Interesting. Thanks for the review.
  12. Remove the horizontal bar that runs across the back of the bag.
  13. Not really. Recording on the Zaxcom TRX is all well and good but if there is a powering issue on the TRX or a bad audio cable, your hop will be down, and so will your back up. I would go SRa and 2 LMA's, use the money saved (if any) to buy 2 SB-3's to keep everything in sync and roll your backup on the 552. Monitoring a wireless return is pointless IMO, you don't know where in the chain the drop outs are happening, it adds another channel of wireless to the mix, and if your backup is rolling with TC ref, you are pretty well covered even in the unlikely event of there being an issue with the hop. Just make sure everything is properly set up at the start of the day and check it periodically and you will be fine 99.9% of the time. In future when you don't need a hop, the SRa and transmitters can be repurposed as talent RF's. SB-3's are very useful to have in your kit too, and will easily pay for themselves over the years.
  14. +1 Peak + peak hold metering in the next one please!
  15. http://www.proskit.com/screwdrivers/electronics/5-in-1-screwdriver-with-led-flashlght Picked one of these up the other day. Pretty good value and perfect for the space conscious bag mixer
  16. You guys really need to get out more.
