  1. My new orca bag. Basic kit with 3 RX Audio ltd EN2DX2 + Audio 2040. Sennheiser G3 Hop for scratch track. Little bit heavier than my petrol 601 but things fits nicely and no cables out from the sides. Just delivered without divider...so I put plastic box to make some dividers. I will improve the inside with some other dividers I ordered. Will post pics later.
  2. With non locking connector (ex:dslr), I always use right angled connector and secure it with gaffer. Works like a charm ;-)
  3. Hello, I use these ones, a little bit smaller. The Tstak IV (2 small drawers) and Tstak III (one big drawer). The drawers are lockable. http://fr.stanleyworks.be/products/subcat/Systèmes+de+Rangement/Boîtes+à+Outils+FatMax®+Tstak
  4. Yes. They are wired for lemo 3 pin sennheiser/zaxcom and I use some adaptors from kortwich. I just have to swap adaptors to use them with micron or Audio. http://www.filmtontechnik.de/513.html
  5. So after several days of work with the 2 systems, i finally love the microns. I use them alongside 2040 and they sound very nice. My first impression was not the good one. Just a little more hissy than 2040. I have a little more range too. What I prefer on the Micron vs Audio 2040 is the phase switch and the on/off switch. Never been a great fan of the IR command. But the TX is a little bit bigger than the 2040 and sometimes it could be a problem.
  6. Hello, seems very attractive. Is it a TX/RX system or just a box you sync with your master TC? How is it powered?
  7. Hello, I just bought 2 new micron 7OO systems (great deal in 2 hand, as new) and use them alongside my audio Ltd 2040. I use audio Ltd since more than 10 years. I m not really convinced by the sound quality of my new micron systems. I use COS 11. The sound of the micron is more brilliant and there is a lack of low frequencies. I listen the sound on my dynaudio system and compare to the audio ltd, the sound seems more aggressive. Some of you have the same experience? Are my ears so used to the sound of Audio? I m very open to your advices. Best regards.
  8. Hello. For Belgium market, i suggest to contact joris at www.audiosense.be. I would be very happy to own one of these. Hope the price Will be attractive as the price in $. Best regards.
  9. Hello, for a new project, I have to keep in sync 3 SD 664.The master TC comes from the OB truck and the 3 ENG crews are going on the field for more than 5 hours, and come back to the truck for the rest of the show. What is the best way to keep them in sync? 24 run continuous TC (set with the master TC) or free run continuous? I don't really understand the difference if I set the TC at the beginning of the day? Many thanks for your help.
  10. I do it all the time. Works perfectly. Mic out from the mixer, gain on 6 on the TX, Low cut off; mic in on the camera. I use hawk woods VLock holder or scratch the receiver on the cam.http://www.hawkwoods.com/products/details/details.php?code=vl-rm1s&mainMenuItemToSlide=5&asi=rmc-a1&asi2=vl-70 There is a stéréo version. A bit expensive but useful. I powered the receiver via DC distro so no worry about battery.
  11. Hello, I have a SD 664 and I just want to know if there is a more reliable support than an other? Maybe a stupid question but due to the price difference between CF card and SD card ... I usually record the isos on the CF card and the mixdown on the SD card. Many thanks.
  12. I m a great fan of sennheiser G3. I have a transmitter plugged on my mixer all the time. I can send feed for director and creative and a scratch track for cameras with only one freq. I like to use sennheiser with canon 5D/7D. Perfect level match, use the sennheiser G3 mini-jack / locking mini-jack. I have some IEM that I can also use for scratch track for multi camera. I put some tape on the volume knob.Works like a charm.
  13. Hello, for a commercial, I have to record a supporter song during a football match. I have a M/S couple with CCM 41 or MKH 8060 + CCM8. I have an A/B couple with schoeps CMC641. And ,maybe, I would like to use an A/B couple with DPA 4060. I m not sure I will be very close from the supporters so my first idea is to use the MKH 8060 with the schoeps CCM8. Do you think that the A/B couple with DPA 4060 will be useful? Is it better to use the schoeps CMC 641 in A/B couple or is it better to use the M/S couple in the center and put the hypercardios some feet away on the right and on the left of the couple? Not possible to make some experiments. Best regards.
  14. I think pluraleyes will be my friend
  15. Hello, i have a shooting with 2 sony HDV Z7 and I have a concern about syncing sound and picture. I can sync the 2 Z7 via I-link in free run but no idea how to sync the sound. When there is only one caméra, I use the LANC of the sony Z7 in rec run into a Ambient LANC logger and send the TC to my SD 664. But not possible with 2 cam...
  16. Maybe better for bag work ...
  17. Hello, for a bag user, this kind of profile for the back XLR input panel is not very interesting. But why not have, as an option, an "in line" XLR input panel with low profile XLR. Could reduce the footprint of the back panel. But I m not sure that the bottom part is only an XLR interface and could be replace easily by a linear module XLR. Not sure I m clear but not yet what I m expect for a bag work mixer. Wait and see....maybe not a definitive design.
  18. Hello, I run the 7.30 (didn't see any P) on my TRX900 with QRX100. Can I upgrade the TXR with the new modulation. Can I do it myself or do I to send the TRX to the factory? Many thanks for your help.
  19. The production team don't want to pay for SD 664 and the schoeps M/S couple so I don't want to bring it for free. I just try to find a compromise. They don't really ask fore stereo but it could be a improvement. I think I will bring my second schoeps (CMC 641) with a softie and do some A/B stéréo with the CCM...
  20. Hello, for a special project in the vineyards in south Africa, I would like to record stéréo ambiances of nature. I don't have the possibility to bring my schoeps M/S setup. What would be the best way to record this type of ambiances. I will bring a SD 302 and a ZOOM H4. I have a couple of DPA 4060 for A/B stéréo. Is the DPA 4060 couple will be good enough to record this type of quiet sounds? Maybe plug the DPA in the ZOOM better? Do you know a good "cheap" stéréo mic? Rode? Beyerdynamic MC72? Audiotechnica 2022 ?? I have a CCM 41 on a boompole. I m open to every good solution...
  21. Hello, i had a special request from post. I deliver the isos recorded on the CF card of my SD664. But the editor prefer to work with the mixdown that I record on the CF. Is it possible to do the confo with the isos on the CF card if the edit is performed with the mixdown recorded on the other media? Maybe a stupid question but I usually give the isos only (4 tracks).
  22. Hello Chris, as explained, I really love the Tac!t. As good and useful than the schoeps LC 60. I have no problem with any mics (schoeps CMC41, CCM41, sennheiser MKH 8060) and cables without the Tac!t since more than 10 years. The only problem for me is with the EDGE here in Belgium. I don't know the exact bandwidth of the EDGE here in Belgium and I don't know if it is the same freq abroad. Best regards.
  23. Hello, I a great fan of the rycote tac!t filter with my schoeps CCM41 BUT I have some problems with interferences from cellphones with EDGE mobile internet. On a movie set with all the phones switched off, of course no problems but for documentaries with no controls on cellphones, I had some interferences. It makes me several days to identify the problem. I ended up to identify problems with cellphones and EDGE.(slower 3G internet). When I put my Iphone (with 3G disabled) close to my mixer, I have cellphones interferences. I try to move the tac!t from the mixer to the other end of the cable, same problem. I try to unplugged the chassis of the XLR from the PIN 1 of the XLR, same problem. I red somewhere that there is a barrel version but I did not find any reference of this version. Can I move the electronic of the Tac!t in a "box" to have better isolation to interferences? I will appreciate you experiences. Best regards.
