  1. Main responsibility is rf coordinating cities pre arrival for a travel show. Approximately 20 channels of wireless. Us only. Secondary part of gig would be recording sound in each city as the production arrives. PM me if interested. Again, Solid pro audio with experience traveling.
  2. I recently bought a portable bag mixing stand. It's made for a drum machine, but doubles perfectly for a bag mixing desk. any more weight than 20-25 pounds is pushing it. Here is the link http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SSPC1/
  3. Thanks for the info. I bought a TW700 fro $43 at micro center. can't beat that deal.
  4. I'm looking into a tablet and getting conflicting info. Scaling issues on smaller than 12 inch tablets. What is the best choice?

  6. It's the same cable that I always use. Voltage on battery was15.3.
  7. Has anyone had a rx900 blow up? Mine did when I connected a 12v battery via d tap. It popped and then smoke came out the battery door. I had no batteries in it. I have used the same battery multiple times. I'm using Ikan 12v batteries.
  8. They should work fine with the panasonic adaptor. G2 and G3 Tx's won't work the the 3041

  10. Thanks for comments. I like riding the beta versions. This is the first problem I have encountered.
  11. I am having a problem with my nomad 12 mirror card. It freezes at 69% file 2 of 12. I'm running nomad version 5.00 with transcend 32 gig 133x cards. Same problem on multiple cards This has never happened before. I'll upgrade firmware tonight and see if that changes anything.

  14. nothing, Thats why I'm asking. No pics of back.
  15. Petrol has abandoned the belt loop and I'm looking for a bag with one. I have a Petrol 614 and it's ok, but I can do better. Any Nomad users using this bag? Is there a belt loop? thanks Noel
  16. I don't have the tolerance to deal with a one day shoot with rental gear, low rate, $12 for lunch, and six talent plus boom. If it was my gear and a fair rate, I'm in. These shows chew you up and spit you out. Then they move on to the next sound guy.
  17. I had a show offer me $425.00 for 12, with six talent. They will supply gear. I told them I want $100 per talent over the $425 with the first two talent included. So that would be an extra $400 for 6 people on camera and a boom. $825.00 is the deal I presented. The breakdown: Mixer, boom, two wireless $425 4 more wireless $400 total $825.00 Sounds fair to me. Camera guys make more and have less gear. Plus, it's a rental package. Who knows what problems that presents. I am not willing to ruin my saturday by making a bad deal to help out a show that I will never see again. I guess my saturday is still open.
  18. I'm sticking with the Nomad and zaxnet. Pan knobs would be sweet.
  19. Driector says to me " can you use a boom today without booming the talent". He doesn't want me to distract the talent with a boom. Also, he hates lavs.
  20. The build on the epic I used didn't accept audio. I love being back in the film days. The epic is a doorstop. Lots of problems.
  21. The problem with the older firmware Tx is that it doesn't show variable power setting and power roll. I want to be able to access those features
  22. one is 7.30H and the other is current today 7.81. It was past the 7.31 firmware. I don't like this line: If you upgrade OR downgrade across this 7.30a - 7.31 line you will likely experience very low output power and will need to send your TRX to Zaxcom to be re-calibrated.
  23. Should I send it in? I'm confused. The TX's I have are the same model and sequential numbers on serial number, but firmware is different. I'm afraid to update it without consent from Zaxcom. I don't fully trust the update process. it doesn't seem bulletproof.
  24. Here is what Zaxcom says: WARNING: SOFTWARE UPGRADE / DOWNGRADE TRANSITION There is a transition point between 7.30a (and lower) vs. 7.31 (and higher). If you have 7.30 or lower in your TRX you may install 7.30a. If you have 7.31 or higher you must not downgrate to 7.30a (or lower) as the older software does not know how to handle the newer power amplifier system associated with the power-roll feature. If you upgrade OR downgrade across this 7.30a - 7.31 line you will likely experience very low output power and will need to send your TRX to Zaxcom to be re-calibrated. This warning does not apply to ZFR's as they do not have the ability to transmit.
