  7. Thanks for all the replies and yes the antenna has a hush lav on it ...I’ve tried different frequencies And blocks and I’ve coordinated my frequencies. Im thinking she may be a witch only logical explanation
  8. Thanks for the suggestions I’ll do some tests in blocking and rehearsals without the portable faraday cage (necklaces)she is wearing around her neck and share the results Hi David So far the hits have been quite low and I think we will get away with clean up in post The boomS have Been sounding useable, but the stress levels do go up when your not getting solid RF
  9. Hi I have just done first week on a feature and have run into a problem particularly with one of our actors......This a radio mic heavy, wide n tight 2 camera shoot. Im getting constant hits on our lead actress mic. The wardrobe is problematic in that it’s very tight fitting dresses and crop tops and tons of jewellery...... I’m using SM type TX and have tried different units ,different Power options .... placement of the Tx is limited. im running 8 radios plus two booms all lectro SMA SMV SMQV and am not really having problems with any of the other cast. The recievers are venue 1 and when I need to I’m running Shure active antenna with 40ft and 100 ft runs with LMR240uf With this actor I have the TX sewn into the back of her crop top. Sometimes I’m only getting 30 ft then the signal dips and I get small pfffst..... I be run out of ideas. Sometimes I’m getting normal range with her and as I said the other actors range seems ok. The only thing I can think of is the metal in the necklaces is the culprit. Any thoughts appreciated Nevo The other rf killer is the 1 foot thick stone walls in the castle we are filming in but I can usually get some line of sight

  12. Hi I updated to 7.20 on my Scorpio and then the Icon wouldn’t connect. I see I’m on 2.08 and 2.09 is the current firmware. I went to the Icon page which directed me to the Scorpio Specific firmware but when I extract it.... it’s a BIN file which is a MAC format. Can someone point Me to which 2.09 firmware Is relevant. Im back on 7.10 and the Scorpio Icon are talking Cheers Nevo
  13. I run 40ah lifepo4 with a 15amp power supply charger in a float type setup I think finding the right combination of draw vs charge is the key.You don’t want to have too much current available and be charging too quickly but you need to be able to supply enough to keep battery topped up while on AC and running cart. Derek I’d be interested in reading the email from Bienno Regards Ant

    TC arri mini

I’m on a shoot with a Arri mini and the TC is strange Same setup as I’ve done hundreds of times mozegear tig jammed from 633. Timecode match’s On 633 and mozegear.... When I plug into Mini the timecode is 9 hrs off.... Arri set to regen if I unplug mozegear from Arri the TC symbol goes orange..... we have rebooted camera looked for any offsets in camera... the camera system clock is correct. Ive tried different cables and tc Boxs but stumped now. They can use waveform peaks for batch syncing but it would be good to get to the bottom of issue Nevo

  19. I have the best 75/216 and use a np1 into a 12v regulator..... runs all day long
  20. Hi all I was wondering how people deal with being far away from set. I have active antennas and know the pitfalls of them. Ive been looking into a input interface that runs on DC and converts analog to Dante. Remoting the RX next to set is another solution with its own pros and cons. What Are the general thoughts on these methods. Im planning on having both options available. Regards Nevo
  21. I’m bumping this because O would like to the answer to these questions Nevo
  22. I’m about to change over from SLA to lifepo4.... I have some invicta 20ah batts and a victron 10A power supply charger. Im wanting to build the lifepo4 into a case and have it trickle charging while I output to my distro. ill be pulling about 8 amps to power my equipment but have a couple of questions. I found this question and answer on their forum ” Can a blue smart charger be used as power supply WHILE charging? The datasheet mentions it can be used as power supply if not connected to a battery. But can I also use the charger to power a device while charging a battery, provided that the current draw of the device is significantly less than what the charger is rated for WKirby answered · Dec 14 at 5:00 AM BEST ANSWERACCEPTED ANSWER Yes, you can put loads on it whilst it is charging. The loads will reduce the charging current. So if the charger is charging at 4A and the loads are taking 3A then 1A goes to charge the battery. The Voltage going to the loads will vary and be the same Voltage of the battery at that time. and this is the answer I got from the distributor “ Hi Ant, the voltage will range if the battery is completely flat, but it will stay within those confines. So cut off will be around 9V, but this won’t be an issue if the battery is put in charged. Also, the voltage of the battery will be at or around 13.8V very fast, being LiFePO4, so this may not be an issue at all. Depending on the voltage range of the equipment.
