  1. I don't know about the fit?? Wouldn't they feel funny?
  2. "I simply hold true to the saying "I don't HAVE to be nice. It's not the 60's anymore."" For me it finished in the 80s
  3. "I've used transmitters (with and without official permission) a few times. No issues." So are you saying don't worry about getting permission?
  4. Any transmuting on board will need clearance from the airline/pilot. If you are sitting in front or behind the talent maybe a hardwired lav recorded in bag ? Very noisy environment, but they would spend a fortune adding the noise later to make it sound real.... lol.... ......there will be no transmuting on board, hard to get clearance for that!!...
  5. I saw a nice set up where the receivers were mounted on top of a stand, with an NP-1 powering them, and the line level audio cables ran back to the bag. The stand was easily moved to the edge of frame, up high, and away from any in bag RF turbulence.... will try to find the photo..
  6. I saw a nice set up where the recievers
  7. My experience with the jointed aerials is that their length at the joint makes them vulnerable to side ways forces that have seen all of mine getting their middle pin dislodged and detaching.... swapped them all out for solid wire kits sold by Lectro... As for the Remote Audio memory aerials, tried them, they do hold their shape, except for when they are folded down at the connector, after a little while they developed a kink that eventually breaks.
  8. " I usually carry on 788t-633(naked)-NPs and a slate or two." I understand that if you are carrying on board electronics like laptops that you need to be able to power it up should security require it. I always make sure I have a charged V-lock in my carry on kit, ready to prove its use. All of my other V-locks are taped and bagged.
  9. I've had an 8' and an 18' pole for years now.... very happy with both
  10. Had to try this brew while having a feed at the Oyster Bar , Grand Central Terminal NYC
  11. Cool looking bag Sol All of your connectors right angled??
  12. Hi Simon, I like the 633b unit I have. Wondering if a modular system of 2 SR bays that can be attached to --another one or two SR bays--- various power distros--- blanks that could be drilled to suit DIY switches/lights....??
  13. After seeing how scratched my protector screen got ( protecting ) I wonder if it is worth putting a phone protector laminate on the SD protector, and change it out more easily than one directly on the SD6** screen....??
  14. Hey Chris A lot of weight at the end of an extended boom, I'd rather use the tx to counter balance at the butt of the pole, and swing the pole, not shake it.
  15. Hi Gary I am working with the Amira more and more these days, I switch my 633 outputs to -10 to give me enough headroom
  16. Might be suited for middle of the road music??
  17. 50/50... Better transmission when up high above the set...... more convenient and weight balanced on the butt of the pole... I guess if you have a good signal from a butt mounted Tx then every one wins....
  18. I should have checked to see if they were valve technology....
  19. To the uninitiated it's a tire But to the crafty Thai Buddhist shrine worshipers It's a Speaker box! I thought the sound was a bit flat........... But the roll off was easy to use............ I can hear crickets!!
  20. First time I have seen one of these..... (More pics to come)
  21. Running with all that gear.... connected to the camera.... I wouldn't do it... link, lock-its and in bag record.
