  1. got my nomad jammed with tentacle and one 664 and 633 for 3 crews running and gunning. After half day, my nomad has to re/jam from the tentacle, off synced by about 2 second...SD still accurate at that moment. Dont know why!!! Hiro
  2. Unfortunately, sending back to the mothership.
  3. Yep, SD cards are not the approved ones, which caused problems.
  4. No luck for that. Took out both cards, still white screen ... Thanks man! Hiro Hopefully not the cable, otherwise I have to open it up by myself. I am not good at reassemble things back ..... haha, might leave a fader outside in the end. will see what SD says Hiro
  5. You sure it's the Rycote, not the boompole. Are you using an aluminium pole ? short like K-Tek 79cc ? My MKH50 will be the same, if you tap the pole like that on an aluminium pole Hiro
  6. Should be fine, CF and SD are both approved cards Thanks Hiro
  7. It's been a day, I am still recording tho!!! Run and gun, no backup 633 in my bag. Recording is still working... But not the screen! Did all the hard reboot and all.
  8. hands down for that! My F8 is still on the way ! Cant wait to try it.
  9. Did you enable the power for ST150. I remembered there is an option you need to let the Trx to let the power go through st150 or st100 Hiro
  10. Hi guys, just to let you f8 owners know that something went wrong with audio files from a zoom f8 recorder last night. the post house reported: last audio file in both main sd card and mirror card having same problem which the audio file only repeatedly loop the first 5 second of the recording for 15 mins long, however, it's a 3 mins piece to camera. SD Cards are golden color 32G (will provide more info ) Zoom F8 is in its latest firmware, updated before out for recording. Recording both cards at the same time. The mixer told me that during the recording, the machine took a while to stop recording. So he took time to listen the playbacks. Only the last file, he didn't. Will make full report to zoom official once I get the audio file and the spec of the sd card. Hiro
  11. I thought half of the unit is battery compartment......:) gonna be much lighter technically.
  12. I have changed my setup, wireless, microphones over few times. But my nomad is forever in my bag.
  13. I did few shoot with Fs7 without modular. Sending audio feed and one channel camera mic for pluraleyes sync was my case.
  14. I got that happened twice with Alexa. One I just hopped the erx like that all the time. Second time, the camera team told me because I hopped the erx with incompatible tc, cause the camera not working properly ( restarted twice... Not sure if my erx cause that or something else) So they unplugged erx, and refused to plug it back again even for testing. I used the reference audio, and digit slate for the rest of the shoot.
  15. If It's long hair girl, depends on the hairstyle of course, I stick the Lav on her forehead. haha. With medical tape.
  16. Hi Glen, I didn't set it to auto, for 29.97 , I put the clock on 1, and when I did another test, I put the clock on 2, which was 25. I set my nomad tc accordingly. Hiro
  17. All the footage are with client now. A bit complicated to get the footage back. But will ask the post guys to check if it's in sync or drift away through the day. Will give my own denecke slate next month. Will try to test more. Thanks Thanks everything for the guidance. Appreciate your help. Hiro
  18. My nomad 6 is on version 7.05 Not sure about the slate. I guess it was purchased in 2013 March. It's a friend 's one that I rented from him.
  19. Thanks for all your value inputs. Will try to make a test accordingly, and figure out the a conclusion.
  20. Unfortunately, I only have one digit slate. I followed instruction strictly. I didn't do any serious test before the shoot. I did all the workflow test, such as jam the TC, check the frame rate etc. I thought that any professional gear should be working together accordingly. It might a display offset. But still it should sync perfect than 3 frame off.... Anyways, I will try to find out the problem.... Thanks guys for the inputs. Appreciate ! Hiro
  21. Hi guys, I am new for the denecke TS-C slate. I took a few pictures during the shooting for my sound bag and the slate. I found out that the slate TC is 3-4 frames faster than my nomad tc. Is that normal or I did something wrong. We were shooting 29'97. I have read the "error 30" issue. My slate setting is 1 My nomad is 29.97 Than I did a test on 25 for check with cable connected to the slate. But still 3 frames... I sent an email to denecke just now. But I just also want to hear from you guys. Appreciate your guidance. Hiro
  22. Anyway you could ask to shoot the interview or people speak before the flight kick off or after land? You probably have much more control of the air conditioning, and engine noise. Since its interior shots... Fake it.
  23. Putting a small receiver like ERX2TCD or G3 as a audio reference, and ask post to sync this cam with wave form. If there is no solution on the TC issue. OR just send the TC signal to one of the audio channel, and ask post to get a TC wave reader since they don't mind cutting with three different camera. They should not be to get a TC plug
  24. I have worked with a mixer from Europe on a doc shoot. I was booming and lav the subject as I normally do. The interesting way he did was: Boom was on a stereo XY setup, I don't know the exact model of the mics, but for sure they are schoeps... I assume that he used Lav as a primary audio for the subject, boom only for the ambience, atmosphere etc. which I found very nice, but I don't dare to do. I was booming intensively with lav as a backup or backup to each other. Hiro
