  1. thanks but that wont work as i already have a conbox for my MS setup. it has detachable tails that connect with binder connectors. Cheers
  2. Anyone actually using this accessory? Is the Cable Stiff or soft and Flexible? I Want to use it for my MS Rig from my 8040/50 microphone and install a Binder connector to go to the Rycote Con-Box. Thanks
  3. Here are the pictures of my setup. i changed a few things around from the original ones that i posted earlier. Changed back to Black Lyers (1 MKH at the back & 1 Universal at the front) to push everything back abit. Does not sway so much at the front now. Also removed the back clip holding the 8000 microphone to the 30. did that after i took the picture. Only other thing id like to do would be to go binder straight to the sennheiser MZX connector to make things more sleek. So far this is working well. Added a 4th pic of the inside
  4. Or you can work it into a rycote ws1. Btw how long is your Rode blimp from front to back ? I will put pictures of mine in the rycote when I get home.
  5. Well thanks studiomprd for that wonderful and informative response. You obviously dont have any experience with it so really not sure why you responded other just increasing your number of useless posts. Now anyone who has actually used any of the ambient distro sysyems and has something usefullto say I would like to hear from you.
  6. Has anyone tried the Battery distro systems from ambient at all?

    MKH-50

So it sells for say the asking price off $900 then shipped to sennheiser to be brought up to snuff at say $300 (just a guess?). What's the point? Would a brand new one be the same price with a full 2 year warranty?? Unless my numbers are off
  8. I second the 30/8040 8050 combo. Works really well.
  9. I had some stereo clips made for me using older rycote single clips that I had lying around from other kits. They rivited the 2 together. Been working solidly. Got them done at Audio Services here in Toronto
  10. If you can get the older style stereo clips they are better then the btb clips. You just need to get the ones for your specifics size mics but I prefer the older ones to the newer btb clips. The btb has the added wings on each end ( not sure of a better word here which seems to make it to tight for the regular WS windshields. The older ones did not have those access wings (once again not sure what to call it) and were more slender to the mic.
  11. No mention of the mkh30 / 8040 combo. Great setup.
  12. My plan right from the beginning was to get this setup as small as possible and getting everything into a Rycote WS1 was perfect for what i wanted. Got some great help From both Audio Services and Trew Audio in Toronto to make this happen. Obviously with a smaller windshield there is less room inside but Im never going to crazy with swinging it around. The XLR Mod was done at Audio Services.
  13. I fit my same setup into a rycote WS1. Took some messing around but got it pretty good. Had to go right angle on the XLR for the 30 but am very happy with it. here are some pictures i took quickly with my phone.
