  1. Anyone ever find out if these work with Zaxcom Transmitters?
  2. I like the idea of the Mozegear. I wish there was a way that you could use it with the Maxx for two extra faders while retaining your prefade iso tracks.
  3. Sounds great. Would be curious to know where the plant mics are or if it's strictly lavs. Seatbelts and driving are always such a pain.
  4. I got mine at Pro-Sound NYC. It was a few years ago so I don't remember the exact price, but it was reasonable. As an added bonus, you can use the same hex key to take off Lectro belt clips and tighten the SD knobs instead of having to use the smaller hex key that the Zax knobs use.
  5. Also, I had shark fins on a stereo bar with a pistol grip that I could quickly switch to on occasion when I really needed to push the range for police raids. It was much faster to just disconnect two BNC's two swap back and forth between the antennas.
  6. Thanks, Glen. Love the high noise headset and the slate mic is super useful. The high noise headset was essential in protecting my ears from gun shots, noisy boat motors, and a hundred other things on the police show I just worked on and I loved having the slate mic to have private convo's with producers on Comteks. I have the dipole cables that Lectro makes (in Block 20) in addition to the SNA600's. In my experience, the SNA600's got me better range, but it's certainly not scientific and not dramatically better. Just my experience. I'm still going back and forth between the two.
  7. They're Sound Devices 664 knobs. I like the feel of them better than the stock Nomad knobs. They have a little bump at the front of the knob that I think makes them a little easier to grab when I'm not looking.
  8. Not the most elegant setup, but the range boost is worth it.
  9. Reliable is not the right word. I suppose accurate would be more precise. The runtime is consistent. Lithiums are a must for the LT's in my experience, but I'lol use rechargeables with the LA's.
  10. The battery readout on Zax stuff is not the most reliable? Are you changing batteries when the battery icon starts flashing?
  11. Johnpaul hit the nail on the head. Great price, wider band, and smaller. What's to complain about?
  12. Love the app for iPhone. It's awesome!
  13. They're cool, but not super rugged. I've had about a half dozen break in the last year. Definitely treat them like expendables. That being said, they're still what I use and cheap.
  14. Love my Grado reference headphones and a big fan of their company. Sorry for your loss, Eric.
  15. I've thought about doing the same as Kelsey. Good to know that it works well.
  16. Congratulations, Prahlad! They're a great boom pole. PSC and Loon make the best in my opinion.
  17. Call Rich Van Dyke at Pro Sound New Orleans. I got a Brand new 12' Loon from PSS about a month ago.
  18. I use these: http://www.fullcompass.com/product/249183.html?utm_source=googleps&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=googleps&gclid=CJCKudjur8ICFWFp7AodNXMAXQ You can fit three transmitters in each one.
  19. I thought that was weird because I've been using 3.50 for a couple weeks and it's been fine.
  20. Steve Albini records to two inch tape. I believe there was a shot of them threading up a reel of tape. I agree, more history less Foo Fighters. I don't really like the Foo Fighters, but I love the way that Dave Grohl uses his celebrity. Awesome doc stuff, and he got to play Animal in the Muppets movie. Well done, sir.
