  1. Its funny, a camera man buddy of mine texted me the other day asking about how to remove reverb from a recorded interview. I didnt know this types of programs were out there. I sent him a link to this. Its funny, a camera man buddy of mine texted me the other day asking about how to remove reverb from a recorded interview. 2. I wouldn't think or dare try to carry my gear around at NAB. Lets me honest, if you looking at bag for a 552 or nomad or what have you, the company will know if or if it wont fit. But if you must, you could Try this, Get some cardboard, and cut out the dimensions of the gear. Lets say your 552. you would have 2 card board cutouts. One being the panel/ width, and the other being the top/ length and depth. Still i wouldn't even do that. Seems crazy. Tape measurer would be fine.
  3. Like it, Love It, Gotta have it. 1 Up, for the Sonosax
  4. i have been waiting to see how the SX m32 and r4 looked stacked in one bag. Thanks matt for posting. Its nice to see a different flavor on sound gear.
  5. Yeah i thought wow, who can afford that for there dslr. My one friend made one sorta like it in theory. He nick named it the "the wood" i thought it looked like a chopping block. I do think the Aaton inspired handle is pretty sweet.
  6. Lets Hope sound devices shows us their hand soon. They have had a year to figure something out. Show me a prototype or something. I just want a taste, and i think other users do too. Within this next year i feel some people may or could and or already have gone to something else like the nomad, because of the price, features, and upgrades. So show me what SD has up there sleeves so i can stick around.
  7. i doubt about the ability to do the upgrade with a discounted rate.
  8. I have this gut feeling there may be nothing new this year at the sound devices booth. They will be pushing there Pix packages and Automix feature upgrade about the 788. On the otherside i want so see something new desperately would love to see a upgrade to the 302. (Thou i bet they still sell quite a few units of the orginal-302) The size would be increase by a few inchs here and there.(Key is to still make it small) They should Increase the gain to match the 552 preamps. Adding a 2tk recorder, similar to the 552 joystick(The crowd would go nuts, im not totally for it, but if they manage to fit it in then why not). then my big want is one multipin or a 7 pin xlr to have pre/post outputs(dont give me multiple mini ta3 direct outs on a small unit). Another thing they would do is switch some buttons, to mach the mix pre-d little silver buttons. Price would probably jump to 1895. I would pre-order this so fast. I know the 302 is a well oiled machine, but lets say polish that wheel and up the ante.
  9. The mark three is just in time. Now you can buy this wooden shoulder mount to make it seem like you have a faux aaton camera. http://ergocine.blog...der-cat-20.html
  10. Once I did some doc work at an airshow. Not sure of the out come. But tried to keep those levels down. Tried is the key word.
  11. Im with Palmer and Simon, Long live the small bag.
  12. NIce Tom, I like seeing something different. Its good to see how everyone has their own taste. I see your transmitters are tucked between you and your nagra. Looks like a efficient minimalistic bag. Thumbs up.
  13. if a new 302 came out, id be interested if it had a 7 pin XLR like the eng sonosax mixer M32. This 7 pin would give you pre/post faders. Just another option.
  14. I have a mod'ed Oktava, and i enjoy it very much. Its got a good sound, and i can't complain. On the Joly Mod Oktava site they compare it to a neumann KM 84 with a sound sample. I cant tell a difference from the edits. But just like senator said, theres tons of mics to pick from. I think a Mod mic is going for 399, then an extra 60 bucks? or so for the HyperCard cap.
  15. Reminds me of a bit of guerrilla gardening, plus "plastic life". Plastic life Link - http://www.flickr.com/photos/bousserez/sets/72157594266762278/
  16. I think mark covered all of the main points but. For the Money exchange, if you find someone local to sell to then cash, check, or swipe the card with the phone product "Square". But If you are selling to someone who you are shipping to, id suggest you create a Paypal account. You should have no problem selling a 744 or 552. They are still very popular.
  17. Looks pretty sweet mounted rig. Id wonder if the micked up the horses also like they did on the film war horse.
  18. Doesn't seem like the worst. Could be better for sound, but you are in a theme park, with roller coasters. Nothing to do but "go with the flow", that and maybe ride one while on break. The producers should of known it was gonna be noisy.
  19. Hey Ruben! In this threat the popular Bag is the Petrol PS607. A fp33 is a little over 2 inches in height(2.24in). And the 702 is (1.8in). The internal size of the bag is listed at (4.1in). So if i had to guess id say it would fit. Maybe ask when you are ordering it to see if they know also. I hope it fits cause the 607 is a sweet bag. The wireless pouches are a great design. I think most bags on this thread are 607's, then theres a Kortwich bag and a kata kola bag.
  20. looks like you need to attach the photo correctly. i'm interested in seeing this...hat
  21. I am curious if anything ground breaking/game changing for location sound will be at NAB this year. Im very interested in finding out.
  22. Could be a wardrobe problem for sound. Synthetic type of clothes make more noise than cotton clothing. Also is the shirt is "starchy" and hard that will make a lot of noise also. But since you have been micing for a while i'm sure you know that. You could go over to the wardrobe department and talk to them about this problem also.
