  1. Looks like a Lav Rod knockoff. I prefer the lav bullet. It's quick and less obtrusive.
  2. What about the guys that make all the covers for Denecke slates. I know they also make small gear bags/etc. I can't think of their name off the top of my head.
  3. LMAO! Yep, I heard the same thing. I wasn't clear whether he spent $3000 or $30k. Must have been some g3's, ntg-3, and a zoom. Then again, it's not about the arrows, right?
  4. I can't believe the news showed the Producer's checking account info. These kids sound like a bunch of complainers if you ask me. Hasn't anyone educated them on what a "team player" is? LOL
  5. I don't think I'll be buying iPhones anymore. The latest version has this "great feature" that allows you to use your fingerprint to unlock your phone. So now the phones are tracking fingerprints along with audio and video.
  6. I always bring a TS-C slate to my shoots however I always talk some "Realty gigs" from using it. I'll use an ERX to camera and send a beep before and after each take. In any case, like everyone else has mentioned you should always bring one. Yes, they are expensive but its one of those things that Producers need to know you have so that they feel at ease knowing you are a "pro". JUST BUY ONE ALREADY!
  7. Im with you on that one. That's why I went to Lectro R1a's instead of ERX's for my IFB needs.
  8. This is my CMIT. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My CMIT is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my CMIT is useless. Without my CMIT, I am useless. I never lend my CMIT out.
  9. I think it's funniest when you or Eric Toline let him get under your skin from time to time. I'm in full agreement with Crew's view on him. He's the guy in the room that you just can't wait to hear respond after someone asks a question that'll set him off. Sounds to me like this thread is about to bust out singing "for he's a jolly good fellow..."
  10. If you're asking me it was they were shooting the scene when Burt Reynolds was in a hot tub. However, there was a big party scene inside the house that may have taken place at another time in the movie so it could have been two scenes within the same night.
  11. The house in which Boogie Nights was filmed was down the street from where I grew up. One night when I was passing by I saw a ton of extras waiting outside. I had no clue what was being filmed so I decided to park my car and "blend in with the crowd". I walked into the makeup trailer pretending to be an extra so that they can fit me with a 70's costume. Since I was just in High School then and had never been on a set in my life I got too nervous and chickened out last minute. After the movie came out I kicked myself for not following through with it. Then, I probably would have had a better story to tell. =)
  12. Thanks for the link. I was actually thinking of building another welding cart but this is selling for cheaper than I can build it for.
  13. I wonder how many of those films are ones that current directors wish would never surface.
  14. This scene always cracks me up when he finally hits him in the face. When I first started boxing I would be in the gym punching the bag. This scene would pop in my head as I did my workout. At times I would hit myself in the chin (yes, sounds crazy) just so I can get use to the feeling. When I was done doing my thing I would look around to see everyone else looking at me. The look on their face was priceless. haha It's amazing how films influence who we are.
  15. Speaking of intro scenes this one is another all time favorite of mine. Every time I see an old black Jeep that intro song pops into my head. Those were the good ol' days for me.
  16. R. Lee Erney was a genius in that movie. I don't remember what happens in the movie after that scene since that was the best part for me.
  17. RVD, you crack me up man. "Favorite Scene" can be whatever you want it to be. I just chose mine because it always reminds me of my Dad. But I guess I see your point though since there are so many to choose from. I guess if we were to talk about WESTERNS then here's another one I thought was pretty damn good. Have you seen this movie yet? LOL In fact I think I'll watch this one with my boy today.
  18. Those are all great scenes fellas. Jack, It's hard to object to that. Goodfellas was a solid movie.
  19. Just did another read on this thread and was able to appreciate what I know now vs. what I knew then. Thanks J.W. Sound Group!
  20. Everyone has their favorite scene from a movie. For me, it's this one…. It always reminds me of when I was a kid watching TV with my Dad in our living room. WHAT'S YOURS?
