  1. I use lens pouches for both extra transmitters and extra lavs. Those can go on either the waist belt of the harness or attach to the drawstring of a parachute bag by clc. The parachute bag is an excellent run bag - lots of sections, top loading.
  2. +1. I use zaxnet through a qifb all the time from my Maxx. Route it as already stated.
  3. Be advised - an ERX feeding an Amira will experience intermittent link status on the ERX if the camera's Bluetooth is on. To the Bluetooth off, use the side setup menu, not the one in the eyepiece. azw
  4. And then there's this: http://hayesurban.com/current-projects/2012/3/14/digital-super-8.html
  5. I'm interested, but am I mistaken or does the application require OSHA certifications and "800 MPIPH hours?" How could one possibly get all that done in the next 5 days?
  6. The only person I've ever seen DOUBLE BOOM while wearing a bag is Theresa Radke. That's right, a boom in each hand, getting sound from opposite sides of a room on a feature doc job. azw
  7. Yes I basically got a free transmitter. No they did not ask for the unit. It was dead as far as I knew. I notified the producer right when it happened (talent dropped it in the potty) and then put the cost of a new one on my Invoice. No questions asked.
  8. Same thing happened to me with a zax tx. I took the batteries out, dried it out and threw it In my bag. Production paid for a new one. A few weeks later I took the old one out and put new batteries in. It fired up! I then sent it off to zaxcom for a checkup. Got It back and I use it all day the time now, no issues.

    Zaxcom- MAXX

I had an issue like this, but worse. Pitch shift and all. TC stuff. Send it back to Zax - they replaced my DSP board. azw
  10. Tascam HD-P2. Can chase Timecode.
  11. To me, all of that has nothing to do with being a filmmaker, and that's the problem. How about writing a script? :
  12. I use quick books for all accounting and invoicing for the business. Accountant gets a copy of the file for tax time.
  13. Other than 'shit happens' to the gear, I've found zax to be very reliable and easy to work with.
  14. Please keep us posted Glenn. Looking forward to the fix. Thanks!
  15. I've had sporadic problems with the Maxx tx as well. Haven't been Ble to debug it either. When sending to rx900s units the signal sometimes just drops out. Tried with multiple rx untis and same results. Rx units work fine with trx900/sta100 combo. What's the information?
  16. Anyone got a review of a Maxx in a 30?
  17. Zaxconvert, after the shoot.
  18. I went to Burning Man 2001-2007. Prepare yourself for some harsh conditions. Everything gets coated in playa dust. Very fine alkaline dust - like you've been sanding Sheetrock all day. It can get super hot. And the dust storms are no joke. I'd definitely go with rental gear if you can because you'll need to do some serious cleaning afterwards and even then you won't get it all out. Check the burning man website for their survival guide. Bring a dust mask of some kind and goggles. And a blinky light or two so you don't get run over at night. And have fun! It's a unique place, to say the least.
  19. A $1 mic might come in useful for something crazy and disposable.
  20. You can't be in XR mode. On both qrx and the tx.
