  1. I have used a few times the Kortwich VCP... It is a good unit but...in my opinion it really misses an input limiter.
  2. An analog limiter on these 3 inputs could be very usefull.
  3. I have two MCR 42 both came with all the compatibility modes. One purchased 3 years ago, the other purchased one month ago.
  4. Very interesting. On monday i will use the dugan on my 688 for the second time on a tv show. I have also used many times the 788 or studer vista's one. In my opinion it is good to adjust the levels, to provide a better mix, after the automix.
  5. Human hearing range 20 to 20 kHz .. It sounds so nice 20 to 20... Do we remember which study says that ? Who has studied that ?
  6. Sennheiser also seems to think that digital RF is the future !...And is compatible with its analog transmiters. http://en-us.sennheiser.com/news-maximum-compatibility-the-sennheiser-ek-6042-two-channel-camera-receiver
  7. Very good ! I'm looking forward to test it...Wirellesses have done huge improvement those years, it seems that it is not finished !
  8. Because, most of the times I try to have to a kit as compact and light as possible. I generally prefer to work with whips antennas and as far as i know it is not yet a good idea in digital transmission. But do not worry: I have to buy another set at the end of the year, and I will consider seriously a TX recorder among over others functions.
  9. No, no please do not write the question and the answers... My answers to your questions are not those ones : Would you like to have pre RF recording on TX for drop free workflow? Yes I am waiting for this. Would you like to be able to change gain, freqs, power state remotely? Yes I will appreciate this too. Would you like to have 100% pure sound without any artifacts and noise contamination? I haven't notice this on my set. Between 1 and 24 wirellesses. Would you like to have 20+ mics in 6mHz of spectrum? Why not, but honestly since I am only working with wideband, I have always found some good frequencies for my radio. But I like the idea, it might become useful. I wait to see a real demo and to test it on a set, not on a "hudson" video. I would also add that working with whips antenna is very confortable on doco, scripted or reality : it saves my back ! Manufacturers are really awesome, the technology is improving very quickly. It helps us everyday. And clearly digital wirelesses are improving. ...you have forgotten a good point of digital wirellesses...Encryption. And a bad point...energy.
  10. I rarely use dipole antennas, but sometimes LPDA. I have to compare them with those antennas (plus multiplexer... that boots RF signal) for bigger shooting. "Card recording pre RF" is OK, but I prefer not to need it...
  11. I have done many tests with my trainees, on the same fréquency with all the usual brands (except ZHD and 1010) and it is not what I noticed. On my tests, with whips antennas, all on the same fréquences (found by the Zaxcom Rx) Zaxcom does not give a good range, even with the XR modulation. On my tests, Lectro (SrB) and Wisy (MCR42 ou MPR30) are really better. Thanks for your test.
  12. I flight from France to Greece then Turkey one week ago. 3 NP1 Ltihum- 75 Wh in hand luggage. No problems.
  13. I have tested it yesterday. We send audio via a Wisycom MPR30. Here is an extract here : http://leblogsonore.com/du-son-pur-la-camera-dj-osmo/ The first half of the video is the sound recorded on the (noisy) Osmo, then I switch to the SD633 sound.

    Bluetooth to XLR

On a TV show I will have to record a FaceTime call on a phone. The director do not want to see any wire. Do you know if there is a bluetooth to xlr adapter ? I will probably have to send ton the phone the progra (minus 1). Any ideas ? Thank you
  15. Do you know if the SD688's MixAssist is différent on not from SD788 MixAssist ? Thanks
  16. Thanks for your answers. So it seems that there is no signal loss. Good to know. Has anybody measured it ?
  17. Hi, I have heard that the SL6 RF distribution is passive and that the RF signal loses 6 dB. Has anybody measured it ? Does it mean that the wireless range is not as good as when the antenna is plugged directly in the receiver ?
  18. Most of the timesI I jam my Tentacles from the 633. Sometimes from my Android phones. It works like a charm.

    Zoom F8

It is html 5. Some web browsers seems not to read html 5 sounds :Internet Explorer up to version 8.0, Firefox and Opera. So.. I have just put a reader. It should be OK now. Let me know (maybe by PM not to disturb this post) Vinc.

    Zoom F8

We have done a short review, F8 vs SD633, with a few sounds that can be heared : http://leblogsonore.com/test-du-zoom-f8/ It was with the first firmware.
  21. If you have the last firmware on your Wisy receiver, scan to choose your frequency, then use the "auto squelch" function. Most of the time it gives me 6dB. The SrB squech is an automatic squelch. In my comparison tests, The SrB and the Wisy got similar range (a little better with Wisy).
  22. Thanks everybody. It helps.
  23. I also show my students the spanish video : !he boom operator is doing a very good job. The one I got has been removed from youtube and is slightly different !
