I can totally understand a religious, cultural gender sensitivity situation. Probably hard enough to get access period, much less heightening the situation with a crew that ends up defeating the point of getting the access. "Great..we're here and everyone's clamming up or otherwise acting abnormally." Tom, did the meeting content rate high on sensitive issues? I mean..was it that they wanted to maintain privacy or was it the principle of a male working at a female labor event?

"Why can't they standardize?" Ah..as one who has various wired mics, wireless is such a morass..connectors included. Imagine if mixing units, preamps, wired mics and pro cams all had proprietary input connectors? In lieu of transmitter input standardization, I wish all the lav companies did something along the lines of Rode's adaptable arrangement. But I'm all for any TX/RX tech that makes investing in wireless a more predictable proposition. Go Sure!

I currently own some ECM77(3) and an AT899, all XLR. I have a line on a used COS11DBP and wonder if it is different/better enough to warrant buying it. FWIW, I have a CS3e for boom.

Hi folks, I've been a member for a bit but mostly an observer here. i have read suggestion that this lav is less sensitive to various interference (Rf, cellphone etc). Has that been a guiding consideration in selecting the mic or are other mics similar in that regard? Thanks, Rich
