  1. Good info Simon, I was unaware of the different power levels. Rechargeables are looking less likely to for-fill my duration needs unfortunately. Hmmm
  2. I haven't come across this situation with either of my CMITs - 4 years old and 2 years old. I've been in some pretty wet/humid conditions (not extreme though) and the only problems I had was with my previous 442 mixer ingesting water. To stop the wind on mic when swinging a long pole I use the Rycote Smoothie instead of the supplied foam that might help release any moisture better, maybe. http://www.rycote.com/products/smoothie/
  3. Thanks for the link. These are truly very good batteries and I use them in my G2s and TC slate in their AA form. Alas, I have no experience of the Sanyo eneloop AAA version especially in the miniTX. It would be important to me that the transmitter would be powered for at least 5.5 hours. Thanks, Will
  4. Hi all. Does anybody have experience of powering the Audio Ltd 'miniTX' with rechargeable batteries. I'm thinking of getting getting a couple of these transmitters but do not want to use alkaline or lithium disposables. Any input would be welcome. Thanks, Will
  5. Well either what Jeff said or what I said - your choice. Will
  6. Decide what is the 'labour' content of the package deal and do as John B said. No change to the kit amount. Will
  7. One of my 5 cos-11s is a white one and gets used quite often on white shirts and t-shirts when the situation allows. I'm very happy to have the choice. Doing less drama stuff I haven't as yet found the need for the 'tan' option but I can see the benefits. Will
  8. "I'm fairly confident you could bludgeon someone to death with a 411 and then use it immediately after for the interview with the coroner."
  9. That's a thing of beauty. That power switch panel man... Excellent work. Will
  10. I had a MKH70 hanging round for a few years but never found a situation where it could isolate dialogue better than my usual CMIT. It was sold to help pay for a 2nd CMIT.
  11. Have a look at this page. I've been using the BL-700 for years and does the Job. Will
  12. True. I would normally want my camera hop be of the highest possible audio quality and since the EN2 stuff is cheaper than the 2040 range it doesn't inspire confidence. I'll stick with the Zaxcom. But in does look good
  13. Here's a new slot 2 channel receiver from Audio Ltd. http://www.audioltd.com/new-en2-slot-in-receiver-debuts-at-bve-london/ I wish their Publicity Dept/Budget was a bit better as I stumbled upon this by accident! Looks promising. Will

Have they fixed that 'headphone connector problem' - an unreliable connector into one of the headphones that seem to plague every (ok....2 of them) pair I had. This was over 5 years ago whereupon I changed to the sony 7506s. I agree with what Wyatt said about the comparison. I'm currently investigating an alternative to the Sonys because of the mid-high emphasis - fatiguing indeed. Dig the blue HD25s.
  16. Very interesting and I live in the UK! Wil
  17. I must say that is impressive. Good work. Wil
  18. Good thing, this means I can delay my impending forced investment. Cheers, Wil
  19. This is work in progress but you can fit a DEVA IV (wt DVD drive) into the 614. It's tight at the top end but will get in with a bit of patience and ninja-like force. It gives excellent access to the side panels (inc changing battery). I hope to fit an Audio RK3 rack into the front pocket - all in good time. Sorry about the pic, it'll be better in daylight. Wil
  20. Hi Mark, I heard that most of Europe will eventually vacate the frequencies associated with channel 69 to make way for a universal 4G thing, so please check on the future availability on these frequencies in Denmark before you take the plunge. Here in the UK channel 69 is still usable and legal BUT only until July (I think?) this year. BTW Even though I use Audio Ltd radios on the occasions I've used the Micron 700s they've performed very well. Wil
  21. "Portable single camera" - docos and stuff that would normally have a small crew e.g. 1 camera + 1 sound. Wil
  22. Came across this whilst surfing: http://www.cybersele...uk/product/2369 Could be handy for the 'director headphones/video village' sync problem. Wil
