  1. Funnily enough this happened to me a month or so back. The Loon is about 4-5 years old and is my main PSC pole (12"?). I've decided to keep working with it as it's fine if I don't pull the particular section out too far. It's a fantastic pole and I would invest in a new one if I had more confidence in the 'distribution' side of things.
  2. PFLing might be an issue assuming you'll be monitoring through the 664 headphone out. Could be overcome by routing headphone out of 552 to a return channel of 664. Just a thought.
  3. Retuned 2020s! I was always told by my dealer (who was told by Audio Ltd) that there was an RoHS difficulty with retuning 2020s and therefore they could not be retuned. The same doesn't apply to 2040s - they can be retuned (officially). Interesting Julian.
  4. I've used BBlist in these situations. 10% commission. Not as straight forward as Ebay but as safe if not safer due to real people admin. If they are legal in any country then they should sell at the right price.
  5. I found these: http://www.adamhall.com/en/ah_19_Parts_87402A_-_Rack_Drawer_2_U_aluminium.html Haven't tried them but they are aluminium. Probably more suited to EU/UK delivery?
  6. Same here! (Avast - macbook pro - snow leopard (sorry it's old)
  7. Now that's what I call 'cable management'. Where's the hammer?
  8. Yep. The use of "shifting" was misleading.
  9. If I have reversed the polarity by flicking the switch haven't I shifted the phase of all of the frequencies of that signal by 180º? Hmmm ...... possibly not. Inverted them. Only if it were a sine wave - one frequency.
  10. This article appeared a few days ago when the new crop of game stations were announced: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22868787 It goes some way to explaining the raw deal we seem to have in the UK but ultimately concluded that tech companies charged more here 'because they could' - fantastic!
  11. Yes, I mean flipping the polarity (which shifts the phase by 180º). From the 552 manual: "The polarity (sometimes referred to as a phase inversion) of inputs 2 and 4 can be reversed" From the SQN 5S manual: "The [PHASE] switch acts on CH2, independently of the settings of the other switches. When it is moved to the right (arrow), it inverts the phase of the signal"
  12. Best bet is mic placement and iso track IMHO. Should be fine if there isn't any music audible.
  13. 4 people, 2 lavs, phase flipping of one of the lavs! I don't understand. Don't flip the phase of the lav unless you think they are wired incorrectly - it will cause all sorts of probs.
  14. To hire a Zaxcom system in UK try: Meredith.tv Pinknoise-systems.co.uk Cheers
  15. I'm sure you know this bigmaho but 'Wave Agent' has a good playback screen that shows TC. Not sure this helps you in this case though.
  16. I must say I used Pearl MS8CL many years ago and was very impressed with the sound quality. The MS8CL model has a cardioid 'M' capsule whereas the MSH10 has a "short shotgun cardioid" which should be more suited to doc type stuff IMHO, so I'm not surprised Suresh is happy with his.
