  1. I had the same excellent experience the one time I had to send mine in. Andy
  2. Although expensive I think the Kartmaster HD500 might be exactly what you're looking for. http://www.kart-a-bag.com/html/products.html. I own one with the 2 shelves and love it. Andy
  3. Rado, I know that Transcription Associates in NYC can handle timecode stamp audio files. Andy
  4. I see my response was a little late for Paul. Glad it will help you out Daniel. Andy
  5. Paul, Try contacting Emmanuel Clemente. He lives in the Philippines. He bought my Zaxcom camera hop Block 29. He's a really nice guy and I am sure he can help you out. His email address is wmpp_97 at hotmail dot com Andy
  6. I was able to do 15 minute takes at the fans lowest speed using cold gel packs without it kicking into high gear. Just need to make sure there's a freezer on hand. Andy
  7. Good Idea Rob. And I'm glad the hat guy's opinion won't impact the reality of the letter's usefulness. This kind of letter would be very helpful on some of the shows that I work on. Especially if it includes info that is appropriate for small crew type productions like what I mostly do. I would love to see a section on wireless camera hops and proper use and the cameraperson's responsibility when using a hop. Also a section on proper communication between the cameraperson and soundperson. Like communicating with us as to whether he/she is shooting tight or wide or which conversation is he/she shooting. i.e. is it the couple to the right or the couple to the left. I can see if it is written in a way to not bruise the sensitive cameraperson egos then I think it could be emailed to them and field producers that are interested in knowing how to improve location recording. Andy
  8. +1 for Heffernan. No claims myself. They are very easy to work with and specifically work with people in our biz. Andy
  9. A quantum microphone so sensitive that it can hear waves with peak heights of a few percent of a proton diameter at a frequency of 1 gigahertz. Now that's pretty sensitive! Check out this article. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/02/120227093954.htm
  10. At first glance I thought that was a decibel meter not a zoom. I thought it was there to demonstrate how loud the RED camera really is. Andy
  11. Happy Birthday Jeff. I hope you get back as much as you have given here in this forum and all your birthday wishes come true. Andy
  12. John that is a much slicker adapter than the one that's on ebay. Thanks for the link. Andy
  13. Cool! Thanks Rich. Still think that it would be a nice option for Ktek's "Shark" Andy
  14. Dave, I am not sure how easy it is to find the adapters John Paul mentioned so I would still ask that you consider the possibility of fabricating a mount that works with an Acme thread like on a painter's pole. I think more people use them than you might think. Thanks, Andy
  15. John Paul, I couldn't find the painter pole thread adapter you mentioned on ebay or internet search. Would you happen to have a link? Thanks, Andy
  16. Possibly the Teradek Cube. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/744366-REG/Teradek_CUBE_220_Cube_220_1_Channel_HDMI.html Andy
  17. All painter polls threads are the same. It's called an Acme (beep beep) thread. It is a very course thread. It would be great if you could make a spud that is big enough to go over it. Or a mount to thread into it. Painter poles are easy to find and inexpensive so it might be worth exploring. Andy
  18. Can you make the spud or mounting bracket work with a telescopic painters pole? Andy
  19. Thanks again Larry. You deserve another Chocolate Covered Blueberry or ten.
  20. Is it correct to say that since I am using a wide spread (over 50 MHz) setup I should be going with the Lectro UFM 230 amp over the UFM 50? Is there a big downside to going to the UFM 230 if all things equal. Since I won't have time to make all the BNCs I need for my shoot this week can I plug the UFM amp directly into the splitter? This would be short term solution. Thanks, Andy
  21. Loving this! Cross threads, animation, techno dance and all! Andy
  22. Thanks again Larry. Amazing to have access to you on the weekend and a holiday no less. Now go back to eating your matzah! or is it chocolate eggs! or maybe chocolate covered matzah! Andy
