  1. The Lectro's will work fine with Nomad. As far as Zaxnet and Nomad goes, it's a great machine with great features. You will however still have to purchase some ERX's to put on cameras if you want to use zaxnet for TC and audio. I use them for scratch audio and TC all the time as well as for IFB.
  2. Weren't they also talking about possibly doing a half sized (physically) one like the Hawkwoods as well?
  3. I am one of those guys and I do get it. The MAXX is designed for smaller profile bag use with a convenient transmitter built in. There was no space in the unit for the zaxnet board. I know that Glenn is very receptive to user ideas and and who knows-maybe somewhere down the line you will get a MAXX with zaxnet and no transmitter but it's highly unlikely you will get both. I accept the fact that if I want to add a backup recorder to my arsenal like the MAXX, I'll also need to get an IFB200 or CL in order to have all the functionality I have with my Nomad/QRX rig now. Would I love a 4 fader Nomad (which is essentially what you are asking for)-yes, but I don't see that coming any time soon.
  4. I use both with no issues with my Zaxcom wireless. As already stated, they don't sound as good as the other usual suspects but when I need a small profile mic, they fit the bill
  5. This is my latest all Zax bag incarnation.
  6. Can't wait for the launch party tomorrow.. I will bet you though that the new fader pack will be part of it. Jack Norflus says it will be well worth the wait.
  7. I use the 750's on my cart. I think the sound quality is good and are comfortable to wear. I'm not a fan of the cable either but I've gotten use to it. I wouldn't use these for run and gun but for cart work, they have proven themselves to be a good set of cans for me.
  8. Blocks 20 and 26 work great for me in NY (Zaxcom)
  9. + 1 for Lockit's. I put them on and go about my job. I do try to check throughout the day to make sure all is still good. If I show up and it's all 5d's or C100's then then it's all about the slating.
  10. Weird. I've never had walkies mess with my QRX's. I run 4 in my bag with two mixplexer's and have never experienced this before. Would be curious to see if this has happened to anyone else here.
  11. For me it would be Hirose, top right side.
  12. I use mine with the original Zax carrier with no issues but I think the RADMS makes more practical sense for swapping cards.
  13. http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SY-IDE2CF-NB25-Compact-Adapter-2-5-Inch/dp/B001B19HGA This is one I'm using from Amazon.
  14. I've been using this setup in my Deva for almost a year now and it has worked great. I got my adaptor on Amazon. I believe they can still be found there but have not done a recent search for them.
  15. I pull my MKH70 out at times throughout the year. Still a viable tool in my opinion
  16. I was thinking about picking one of the CP Beams up myself for better long-range zaxnet coverage. I've been looking for a while at different antennas and this one seems to fit the need nicely.
  17. As far as I'm concerned, they are not in business. I ordered a pole from them last summer. They took my money and never delivered the pole. I spoke to the owner multiple times and each time he said he would be shipping it out next day or so. I never received it so I finally got fed up and called my credit card company. After a short investigation, the charge was removed from my card. The letter I received from my card company only said they ruled in my favor with no mention as to whether or not he refunded the $. I personally think the guys got a screw loose.
  18. Chris, to get to the location pictured above, I pulled it about 75ft up a hill to that location with minimal effort. The cart is very light and the larger wheels on the back make it easy to pull it around on rougher surfaces. My method for anything other that smooth surfaces is to tip it back on the bigger wheels and pull it by the handle that has the skate wheels. It can get bogged down in grass or gravel if you try to push it with the small front wheels leading.
  19. Thanks Crew. It's still a work in progress but I feel really great about what it's shaping up to be.
  20. +1 for Richard Hart at Pro Sound. This is the order he told me for NYC from best to ok: 26, 20, 25, 24
  21. P.S. I want to give credit to Mr. Waelder who walked me through the whole process of having my cart made. He made it painless. He was in constant contact through the whole process and is a true professional. Of course I marveled at Chinhda's work when I unboxed it for the first time in my garage. I think I stared at it for about 5 minutes before even touching it. It is truly a work of art.
