  1. We did use normal cos11's, we had 6 or so GoPro inside the cabin which we initially thought to plug straight into, then realised they wouldn't power the condensors, in the end it was a bit of over engineering to get what we wanted but we used the 302/744T with a couple of lectros gaffed really securely in the boot. The reason I didn't mic the contestants helmuts was purely because we had them taken off after each run. That said, try it if you can because it does get stupidly loud in there.
  2. I just finished a shoot for a V8 reality series and found above the shoulder on the bucket seats of the cars were perfect to hide our lavs, while getting great clean dialogue from under the helmut, what are you recording onto?
  3. Hopefully it wasn't under long enough to get through the cap, if you're really concerned the best bet will be to get it thouroughly checked at your local.
  4. Was the cap on when it went in? And how long was it under? You're going to want to get any residue cleaned out of that head ASAP to avoid too much corrosion, a rinse under fresh water unfortunately won't do the trick. All the best Matt

    GoPro HERO2

To all those with past experiences with the original HERO, you probably roll your eyes at the thought of using them, I apologise if this thread has already been created, but I would love some feedback on the GoPro HERO2's 3.5mm audio input, i'm hopeful at the prospect. Thanks guys. Matt http://gopro.com/hd-hero2-cameras/
  6. Yeah that was definately another consideration, I had it looked into and have been told the block I use is safe. Will go with radio mics, hopefully the vampire clips get let on board. Thanks all
  7. Yeah it's all been cleared to film, Good point on the cables, I've had mine stowed underneath previously so I might go wireless boom. Maybe I'll just set the cameraman one-up and watch the in-flight movie instead. Thanks for that, Matt
  8. Hi Guys, Will be filming on a commercial plane in a couple of weeks, just one presenter but probably a few vox pops, are boom poles an issue when flying? What sound issues can I expect? Cheers Matt
