Built mine a few weeks ago, and the first time I used it I knew it was an indispensable piece of my prod sound rig. I used the Trew audio model as a design concept, with some slight changes. I found the parts at Home Depot, and after about $50 and 3 hours of labor it was done! Its great because it will support a K-Tek boom at full extension, and you can use it as a chair between takes. It also separates into three pieces (top, bottom, and pvc middle piece) for transportation/storage. Looking into adding a cable/headphone hook soon.
