    Sound Tents...

Pelsue has soooo many models...having a hard time deciding on what will work best. Also, is the only way to get a price to call the maufacturer?

    Sound Tents...

Hmmmm, good to know there are a couple options. After looking at the ice tents and the amazon tent, I worry about the durability of those lighter weight tents. Granted they are much cheaper which makes them almost expendable...may be a trial and error to see if they are worthy of the Louisiana elements... A buddy just text me who saw the post to tell em about PELSUE tents...anyone have any experience?

    Sound Tents...

Not sure where to post this in the forum, but does anyone use a great pop up enclosed sound tent? I'm about to buy the Village Blackout tent, like most the DIT's use...its super easy to setup/takedown with one person, is fully enclosed, and protects the gear from harsh elements. They are built do blackout (not really needed for me), but are also very tough and resilient. Just curious if there are other options out there to consider before dropping $1500 for a tent...
  4. Thanks for explaining how it would all play out in a court of law if someone slipped. Totally neccesary.
  5. Thanks Mirror and Scott, I have tried this soap idea recently and it works well. A couple high-maintenance BG complain about it being slippery, but when I tried it I was surprised at how firm it held. Not at all concerned with BG's complaints, until someone falls... The medical booties on this floor feels like your walking on ice. I even almost fell when I was testing it. Thanks all, problem is under control and I now have another tool in the tackle box.
  6. I got too many hobbies (costs a lot of money!), specifically RC planes and helicopters, what once was a hobby is now a legit business. Call me if anyone ever needs professional aerial photos or video! www.LAcoptercam.com Also Disc golf.
  7. RVD's PAM solution worked for the meantime...post is not all that concerned with the issue, which shocks me. I called them today and they seemed to have bigger fish to fry, which doesn't give me much justification to have the entire set changed... Mike, I was looking into and Acrylic film type of thing to cover the paint...problem is the paint is textured and not flat, and the acrylic wouldn't sit perfectly flat and adhere to the floor without bubbles.
  8. Hi all, I am having some issues that I would like opinions on. We are on a stage and the set is a high school hallway. The hallways are the typical looking school or office halls, however while it looks like tile, its just acrylic paint on the MDF floor. Every shoe that walks on this surface squeaks and squishes, sounds like a bunch of wet sponges. Rubber soles (tennis shoes) are worse. We have tried the usual suspects...foot foam, tape, booties, etc. etc. but have had no luck. The only solution so far is BG taking shoes off (its a pain as there is no solid rehearsal to know if we are seeing the feet of BG deep in the shot ) or laying carpet down - even a bigger pain as cameras are constantly snapping back wides and seeing them. So the question is, has anyone had any similar experiences and how did you handle it? We are on this stage for 4 more months, so "dealing with it" isn't an option. Also, the floor has been well-established at this point, so changing the design or construction isn't an option. I'm hoping there is some miracle spray or solution, or a film type of product that could lay down over the whole hallway. Just in case it matters on your thoughts, the hallway is about 200 feet long.. Thanks in advance for your creative ideas in dealing with this problem!
  9. And I was taught and remembered 2 hot. For some reason I was putting ground to pin 3 though. D'oh.
  10. Theres no stupid questions, only stupid answers...but when I read the input from Mike Michaels it annoys me to have started the thread for a silly question, It was lack of sleep or something as pin 1 got switched around in my clogged head with pin 3.

Thanks everyone. Just ordered the push to talk SM58 and will first try with my 800 watt self-powered Alto speaker, receiver on speaker, and butt-plug. Biggest concern is feedback, and I bought rack-mounted feedback killer (DBX224V) but if I dont need to use it all the better...
