  1. Concealing is not the question. I have miked many many people and I consider myself a good "radiomiker" is that is a usable term... My question is if anyone considers or has any evidence/advice/medical experience/grounds on weather it is safe and ok to radiomike a pregnant woman. Of course I'd ask if she is ok. In fact, I ALWAYS ask if is ok to radiomike someone, male or female. I was thinking in using the SMV at 50mW.
  2. I've done ankle straps many many times and I've never had a problem. I always ask if they are ok to carry the transmitter, but I was curious about what people thought about it. I know different people has different views on this. As per bra strap... I guess it will depend of what she is wearing... Thanks all
  3. Hi all. I'll be working on a TV Series soon where everybody gets a radio as we work with 2-3 cameras and God knows what they will do (sounds familiar?) One of the main cast is pregnant and I'm a bit reluctant to bug her... although I thinks putting the transmitter on her ankle should be fine, costume permitting. I know that if she uses a mobile phone the radiation is the same and all those urban legends that run around, but: Does anyone know for sure if it is ok to radiomic pregnant ladies??? Thanks, Manel
  4. They are fine. They help even more with background noise, fabric noise and because you'd place them close to the sound source you don't loose much in gain.
  5. I was going to plug it to a Sealed Acid Battery which is connected to a Charger. (http://www.beehivechargers.com/) Thanks for the advice !
  6. Well, as a Boomie... you have to develop a good relationship with the camera guys. If they trust you, with a look to them you'd know if you are in shot or not, if you are dangerous or if you can get closer... Booming well would keep your eyes and hands busy enough to let you control a 552 and a PX240... Good luck and by all means report back here!
  7. Hi, I'm building a cart and need some power distribution. Thinking in maximum flexibility and weight control, I thought of using a DBSv4u as the power distributor. I'm using a Fusion, mix 8 and Oktopack. All running, consumes 3Ah far less than the 5Ah maximum power that the unit can handle. Any thoughts on the Idea?
