  1. I've always been bothered by "zipper clink". Even if it's on the backpack of the guy in front of me as I walk down the aisle of a plane.

As a matter of procedure, I cut the metal "handle" off just about every zipper and replace with knotted cordage or a fancy molded option.

Sound bags, backpacks, jackets. Pretty much everything.

Added bonus is the weight savings. It's minimal of course, but you might be surprised by the small heft of die-cast metal waste in your

hand as you toss it in the bin.

  2. It's not just "hidden vs. exposed" wherein exposed means obtrusive. There are options of "exposed but discreet".

A clean white LAV on the chef coat, a gray LAV on a tweed blazer, or attached to a tie with a busy pattern vs. the lapel.

What bugs me to see (and I'm sure everyone else here) is a placement that looks sloppy or hurried.

I also don't like seeing the clip on the outside with mic inside. As if the mic is hidden but clip is not.

I did find that lining up my tone at 50% mark on the camera meter (which had no scale visible) led to -10db peaks on dialog being dangerously near over modulating on the camera.... this was at line level our of 664, line level in settings on FS-7

The FS7 does provide metering with a visible scale. Press "status" and scroll to the second page.

  4. is there a bracket and sleeve made for the rx200?  one annoying  thing I have found so far is the power connector is different than those on the qrx series

For power it does use the shorter shank switchcraft 760k

Still 2.5mm so your other power cables will work, they just won't lock.

  5. The TC is NOT transmitted via Zaxnet but embedded with the audio signal IF you are using the TRX900CL cam link.

This was a huge selling point to me and caused me to immediately upgrade my entire cam hop system.

Initial tests are very favorable. The new features work as advertised and will be making work life better.

The OLED display and status LEDs are great. Now I wish the TRX900CL had the OLED...
