  1. 633, Lectro UM400 in IFB mode and UCR411a, all independently powered for the test. Rx above Mixer in bag, and IFB TX on the side of the bag.
  2. Hello, I did 4 scans on my Wireless Receiver, and the first three make sense. The mixer by itself did not add any significant RF, and the TX by itself added the suspected amount, but when I turn them both on I don't have much to choose from. Any ideas? 1)RX 2)RX+Mixer 3)RX+TX in IFB mode 4)RX+Mixer+TX Thanks, Rodrigo
  3. I did sound for Jeff Lewis, who is playing on the 21st, several years ago at DC9. Thought he was brilliant at the time.
  4. Yes, I was reading parts of it earlier today. Thanks to both for all the information. What I don't get is why certain microphones use two cardioids for figure 8 rather than a single capsule without the delay line? I am sure there is a good reason for it.
  5. Thanks, and a cardiod pattern itself is created by mixing omni and figure 8, correct? So in the case you mention, how are the two cardiods created to start with? Is it Physically or electronically?
  6. From what I understand, 2 cardiod capsules, back to back, and out of phase, create a figure 8 pattern. If this is correct, which way is front and back of the created figure 8? Looking at the graphs I would think the sides of the cardiods are now front and back of the figure 8, and the two fronts of both cardiods, being out of phase, cancel each other out. Is this correct?
  7. Thank you very much. Would you know what the z at the end indicates?
  8. I am looking to repair the cable that goes from an RM to a BDS, both made by Remote Audio. Unable to source the connectors used by Remote Audio, I decided to search for a LEMO. Its a 6 pin the same size or series as the common 5 pin used for TC. The 5 pin connector model number is FGG-0B-305-CLAD52Z. Anyone with more experience know if its safe to assume the FGG-0B-306-CLAD52Z would be the correct 6 pin for this? Thanks, Rodrigo
  9. Thanks. That place was closed, so I found a television repair guy to fix it. After the fix we got hair cuts and had Maroccan tea with the cab drivers family. An initial scare that brought a great adventure during a 12 hour layover.
  10. I have just arrived in Casablanca, Morocco and noticed my headphones have an intermitant issue at the connector. Would anyone by chance know of a place to get them fixed? thanks , rodrigo
  11. Yes thanks, I have messaged Eric.
  12. thanks, I am in Santiago, Chile right now and have a job in Key West, FL next week. Anybody know of someone delicate with a Soldering iron in either of those places? This is to get my UM400 lavs to work with SMQV.
  13. Would a 60watt soldering Iron be ok to rewire a lav microphone? Specifically a Sanken COS11 Thanks, Rodrigo
  14. they look great but too expensive for this project. I also assume the set screws have to be in a specific position to work with D shaft rather than a round shaft? thanks for all the suggestions.
  15. the one on the left is from the mixer, the one on the right is from my mix pre d. both have the 1/4" D shape and placed in D position, but the one on the right is like the ones I have seen being sold. Its a 1977 Studiomaster 12 into 2 mixer. thanks.
  16. I am fixing an old 12 channel mixer and looking for new knobs. They are for 1/4" d shaft potentiometers, but the ones I have found don't have the indicator position I need for the way the potentiometer is installed. I have also considered ones that have a set screw that would work with the d shaft, but they also have the screw oposite the indicator, and I would need it to be on the side or 90 degrees from the indicator. Any ideas as to where or how to search for these I would appreciate, Thanks, Rodrigo
  17. Hello, Has anyone been able to work with the extension and freerun timecode? Would like to know how stable internal TC is, or any other observations. Thanks, Rodrigo
  18. Hello, Has anyone used black eneloops on a Zaxcom Rx900? Thanks, Rodrigo
  19. I am wanting to power a zaxcom Rx900 off an Alexa from the RS three pin fischer 24v out. The 12v lemo out is normally used by a monitor, so I plan on regulating the RS out to 15v. I have several questions on how to do this, and would greatly appreciate any insight before I get to it. Thanks, Rodrigo santiago, Chile
  20. hey let me know when you arrive if you d like. i move back and forth from the states, and when here in Santiago work mostly on music, old cars and motorcycles, and the occasional commercial or short. its a pretty tight network, but your experience may certainly be different . plenty foreign directors come to shoot here and use local crews. come and learn some Spanish, Rodrigo
  21. hello all. this is my first post on the site. until now I´ve always been a grateful reader anyways, ¿Has anyone worked with the 5d mark 3, with the new firmware, connected to an external deck being used as a master? i have been working on studio shoots for commercials, and we have been using the 5d and a AJA ki pro deck, but the deck only for playback, and not as a master. I asked why and was told it was because the 5d HDMI output is inferior to the image it records, but with the new firmware, i wonder what the deal is. If used as a master, I could send it reference audio and TOD timecode, and avoid using a Slate. Thanks RoSa
