Thanks for all the info guys! I looked at drawer runners, but couldn't find ones that I could lock open and closed different positions. I thought yours might have been designed especially to work with the aluminium profile. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Hi Matt, I really love the pull out shelves you have here. Are they a standard part from item? They aren't listed for sale in the item store in Australi (where I am) do they have a locking mechanism? Thanks Treb Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Qtake is able to delay the audio if the village want the processed signal

I just finished a movie about seriel killers where a captive women was screaming like crazy all the time. It's never the capsule that is the problem, it's the preamp in the mic . I put the 10db Inline pad in between the mk 41 capsule and cmc 6 preamp and screaming right into the mic was no problem

Indeed! If the aquapac fails completely I'm in trouble! I like it as protection against the fine salt water mist that hangs around in the air on a boat in the surf. Might also protect against the odd drop of water hat gets in there when opening/closing

I think any colouring with Copic markers is there to stay

I'm doing a film where I'll need to mic surfers up, so I've got aquapacs for my transmitters. A little spray of this around the connector after it's plugged in looks like it will repel moisture away

Thanks for the great replies! The copic markers look like the way to go. I'm a bit worried the plastidip might eat away at the cable

Is anyone here familiar with dyeing white lapel mics to match an actors hair? The dye needs to be salt water resistant. Any help appreciated!

I'm currently in pre production on a surfing movie and have been looking into ways of protecting gear. I just came across this stuff and thought I'd share it : http://www.fitnessav.com/eGloop-Contact-Protector-p/egloop-10.htm Looks like a great way of protecting the weakest link!

Saving metadata on each iso track that could be interpreted as volume automation in Pro Tools ( or whatever other daw you use) is a very exciting idea!

Apologies, and thanks. It is indeed a simple process and isnt really worth getting getting upset about. It's great that the nomad can do it.
-
Hi Glen, can you please outline this process step by step? Is it covered in the manual? Do you need to do it to the maxx? trev

Well you truely can never make everyone happy! Not trying to be difficult here, but I really liked the form factor of the original deva 32!

I had a similar problem and found that my older HM didn't like the newer Neutrik XLR connectors. The older neutrik design had a small notch removed from the outer shell of the male connector where the female end would lock in to. The newer designs have only got a little notch removed, which didn't allow a solid lock. Changing the male connector of my small xlr jumper cable fixed the problem.

Hi Matt, thanks very much for your input! Where you working in Japan around that time? Trev

Hi all, I'm in pre production on a show that requires me to mock up ( as realistically as possible ) a Japanese talk show filmed in the early 90's, as well as a Japanese action show filmed around the same time. Do we have anyone here who can inform me on how these shows where recorded? Where lav mics used on talent during talk shows or was it all done on a boom? If lav Mics where used, where they visible? I'm assuming that lavs where not in wide spread use on shows like Monkey Magic and that was all done on the boom. Any help appreciated! Trev

I know the deva 32 has movieslate integration, which is great! Will it also be able to spit out a decent looking sound report? I love movieslate 7.8, but their new pricing structure turns me off big time.

It seems the real world results confirm the figures found in their data sheet. Maybe the figures in the manual where taken in the "the lab"

From the lectro data sheet Duracell Quantum: 4.75 hours• Eneloop 2400 mAH NiMH: 6 hours

I had 6 on order (still aren't readily available in Australia) but reading the expected run times I've changed the order to smqv's
-
The battery life is a complete deal breaker for me. Changed my order to smqv's. It's really disappointing and hard to understand why the LT's are so much more inefficient then the sm series.
-
Why is the problem specific to rechargeable? I would have thought they fit more snugly
-
What batteries are you using and what run time are you getting from the transmitters?
