  1. Indeed. But the problem with Cantar is that you need to be able to access the front and the top, which makes it hard to design something that you can have attached to your chest while still providing protection.
  2. Well I have assisted a mixer where we worked with a Cantar in a bag for 2 months and I dont think it was easy. I mean the Kortwich did not have the best design either, for carrying, but it did a pretty good job for access. However if the side latches loose grip then its all over the place. We had a small cart to drop it off and take from during action scenes, so it was not all on shoulder but a Cantar in a bag certainly isnt a walk in the park as depicted on Constantins photo. I have pain all over after a few consecutive days of carrying a 788 with 5 wires, I dont know maybe I am a lightweight.
  3. You are right Jeff. I wasn't being totally serious of course, new things move us forward. But I am just used to seeing the Cantar in a Kortwich bag which is painful to carry at best. The Orca would need to allow a lot more access to the top tho I don't think the Cantar can ever cease to be awkward in a bag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That looks scary, he would sink to the bottom faster than a mafioso with cement shoes on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, there is just something odd about a Cantar sitting in a bag where one would usually find a 633 or a 664. It just looks bad.
  6. Well I have been looking at Ambient Lockits for a very long time but have recently been sold to the TC Buddy system by the English crew on another group. Obviously neither the TC Buddy Wave nor the Master Lockit is out yet but I will have another think when they are out. The R4+ having full WiFi integration with TC Buddy and my iPad would be perfect.
  7. Yeah I mean we usually need the TC Buddy anyways. I wonder if this will also sync through the same wifi without needing another one attached to it? Is that a little far fetched?
  8. Ohhh nice move thank you! RF Buddy Wave coming for Sonosax then fingers crossed...
  9. Well I never expect the initially announced dates to ever hold any truth, but I am glad the mixing system is all there and I am happy to wait for more outputs. Sorry that you might not be able to return with one Richard
  10. It has only been mentioned that it will have mixing capabilities, as opposed to the previous model. That however does not say much, so it would be nice to get more in depth knowledge about it all, considering how important it is...
  11. The mixing capability is pretty important for me, if you can please.
  12. Thats great news! How about mix tracks, is it also possible? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey if you made the above, could you post a photo please?
  14. I did not read it. Was just a suggestion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That is one major issue I have also been wondering. Can we not mix without having to buy the ADA and the faders? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The diagram maybe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Wow MIDI controller? Well done Nagra! Glad to see not all brands wish to sell you cheap goods for very high prices
  17. CCM8 on a CMC6, would not change it for anything else.
  18. I too would rather have more outs than Dante or an internal battery. I have no use for Dante actually and an internal battery is good option but definitely not necessary as I have to carry a bigger one for the wireless anyway. Also, is it true that channels 5 and 6 are not part of the mix chain? Thanks.
  19. I agree with all the points above, at least 4 outs and signal routing flexibilities are incredibly important.
  20. Good idea, I am on the look out for a second hand one as well, very useful little tool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Why is more outputs so hard? Its not that small. This machine would be perfect with an M32 with more channels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So lets not be fooled by the small size, it certainly is not designed for bag use. Unless Sonosax decides to build a bag mixer like the M32 but with more channels which can also utilize all the features of the R4+, now that would be wonderful!
  23. Hey thanks a lot Rado! Much appreciated man, finally something other than a photo! 2 outputs really is bad news but I hope its not certain.
  24. Hey these are a perfect solution for stripping off the paper from stickies!
  25. The fact that its either 6 or 12 channels is very convenient indeed. I am not sure who would need 12 channels attached to their chest but definitely is perfect as a small cart mixer. But as a bag mixer myself, still wish that 5-6 are not left out as suggested because that leaves it in an awkward position where its just not enough and 12 channels are just too many, so engaudio is probably right...
