  1. To use wireless designer you need to use the USB port on the DSR4.
  2. The SRb has to be updated at the factory to SuperSlot compatible and then you have to have a SuperSlot db25 output connected to it. SRc is SuperSlot compatible, SRb needs an update to be. That's my guess.
  3. You still need to mix. Is your mix just every mic all the time?
  4. I buy from Sweetwater every now and then. They usually call, but I've never felt them pressuring me to buy more, just seems like slightly annoying customer service.
  5. Been telling people Rycote was dead since the acquisition. Sad that Vitec can ruin so many companies, I wouldn't pay a dime for anything they own.
  6. Having just done a show in the mountains of Montana last year, I'll say there is surprisingly more RF noise than you'd realize. Both sound units had random weird wireless issues.
  7. Would love to hear an update when you try this out.
  8. I feel like range is an issue. I'm not sure if any of the firmware updates have helped range, but I haven't kept up up with updating, so maybe I should check. This week we were in a field, maybe 100 yards apart and my boom op was having drop outs.
  9. Why are you making these yellow? No one ever needs a mic pack to be more visible.
  10. I got an email that the one I preordered will most likely ship in January now.
  11. This happened to me this week. I was tightening and the microdot on the adaptor just shredded. I wonder if they got a weak batch.
  12. I've read that sometimes the initial draw can trip the internal protection circuits in those batteries. Try not powering everything on at the same time and you should be fine.
  13. I got 120. I wish it was easier to control gain. The two button freq is less worthwhile to me. Using that to control gain makes much more sense.
  14. Any idea when these will hit the market Glen? I'd love to check one out!
  15. I've used Lectro block 22 and 25 when I was there with no issues.
  16. The 1/4 in is line, the xlr in is mic. They both provide different uses. That's why they made it.
  17. My boom-op Tiago DaSilva on the set of La Barracuda in Austin, TX earlier this year:
  18. My buddy is DITing. It's a miniseries. I'll ask him who's Sound Dept.
  19. Whoa, it looks like the full film is up on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/63127085 I'll be watching this soon.
  20. I've used lectroRM and own an Apple Watch. Pretty happy with the watch so far.
  21. I've done some DIT and Dailies work in the past and having the Mixer do a vocal slate has really saved me quite a few times, so it's something I always do.
  22. You guys do realize that the reason you shouldn't check the batteries is because they could catch fire, don't you? Don't know about you, but I don't want to take that chance with a plane I'm flying on, let alone my gear: http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2014-09-08/undeclared-batteries-sparked-plane-fire-at-melbourne-airport3a/5728574
