    Microdot to Lectro TA5 failure

This happened to me this week. I was tightening and the microdot on the adaptor just shredded. I wonder if they got a weak batch.

Powering SD Mixpre 6 from Hi Q 48 WH

I've read that sometimes the initial draw can trip the internal protection circuits in those batteries. Try not powering everything on at the same time and you should be fine.

    Lectrosonics SMWB coming soon?

I got 120. I wish it was easier to control gain. The two button freq is less worthwhile to me. Using that to control gain makes much more sense.

Do you all still voice slate

I've done some DIT and Dailies work in the past and having the Mixer do a vocal slate has really saved me quite a few times, so it's something I always do.

    Protective sleeves for NP1 batteries

You guys do realize that the reason you shouldn't check the batteries is because they could catch fire, don't you? Don't know about you, but I don't want to take that chance with a plane I'm flying on, let alone my gear: http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2014-09-08/undeclared-batteries-sparked-plane-fire-at-melbourne-airport3a/5728574
