  1. That's a good point. I will have to think about it more.. Thank you for the suggestion!
  2. Thanks for the link! It looks like they sell it with a pistol grip and softie. I already got a pistol grip and softie so want to buy only a shockmount to attatch on my boompole. Is this one not gonna work that way? http://www.adorama.com/RY033802.html
  3. Thanks for sharing your exprience! I found Rycote lyres from Adorama. Is this the one you use? http://www.adorama.com/RY033802.html Rycote Inv seems a little bit weak to use with a softie. Do you think my NTG-3+Softie will work with either Rycote Inv or Lyres?
  4. I have a rode softie(WS7) and ordered rode blimp kit. wanted a rycote windshield kit 4 but too expensive for me.. Probably I'd buy a Rycote Invision 7 for my new shockmount. I'm also considering to get another mic if I will need for indoor shooting. But I'm not sure if I will really need it.
  5. Thank you a lot, guys! I realized that I was expecting too much from a brand new coiled pole I never used before.. haha. I'm going to practice more. And also will get a better shockmount.
  6. Hi, folks. I bought a K-tec boompole K152CCR from B&H yesterday and simply tested it with my Rode NTG-3. I've heard a lot K152CCR is one of the best boompoles.. but I hear too much noise from it. I came back home with the pole and first I stretched the pole and shook it a little bit. I could hear a lot of slapping noise from inside. I thought "Oh, this must be the internal cable. but maybe this is normal." Because I haven't had a coiled pole before. Then I plugged my mic and mixer, I could still hear a lot of noise through my headphone. Even I didn't move so quick or fast, I could hear all the cable slapping sound and handling noise. Also I felt carbon fiber boompole is more sensitive to handling noise than aluminum poles. I am not sure about it.. but I was so surprised how the pole reacts to my hands' little movement. Probably, I will need to get a better shockmount like Rycote Invision. (I tested with Rode PG2) My question is... Is my K152CCR normal? or I bought a bad one? I am considering to return it and just get a none-coiled pole(probably with aluminum). Before I do that, I want to ask you about it.. cuz I don't have much exprience about these problems.. If anybody has a solution or any idea, please let me know. Thank you a lot! Jin.
