  1. I buy it online. A simple Google search reveals countless options. I don't know the exact brand I've been using but it's likely the healthiest option with most potentcy. Hope that helps! Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  2. My brother turned me on to the stuff. He's a vet and claims it works wonders on his horses. The daily chondroitin+glucosamine supplements I take are three (literal) horse pills and that's a drag, but so far it has truly improved the "thinness" and mild discomfort I've been feeling in my knees over the last year or so. Here are the specs... Origin: Chondroitin is a component of human connective tissues found in cartilage and bone. In supplements, chondroitin sulfate usually comes from animal cartilage. Claims: Reduces pain and inflammation, improves joint function and slows progression of osteoarthritis (OA). What we know: Believed to enhance the shock-absorbing properties of collagen and block enzymes that break down cartilage. Helps cartilage retain water and may reverse cartilage loss when used with glucosamine. Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  3. After almost 20 years of bag work - from Nagras to DATs to 788s and now my beloved Nomad - my limited physical issues center around my knees, which in your analogy would certainly be "sprung" weight. I'm a very fit 6'1" guy and after taking some chondroitin for the last few months I've noticed a marked improvement on any minor joint pain. Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  4. I rely heavily on the waist belt built into my Kortwich bag but find the rig pitches too far forward for my taste, so I use the very light weight Porta Brace AH series harness to level the bag and add a bit of additional support. I've been very content with this setup for years. Bag Contains: Nomad 12 + 4/5 SRbs + TXs + power/distro + IFB + accessories Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  5. These look great - and I'm sure they will sound phenomenal as well. Is it possible to upgrade existing SRb units to wideband SRc? Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  6. +1 an SRb/c upgrade would keep me from switching most of my wireless to Zaxcom. Cheers, Evan
  7. The Sanken RM11 works well with the TL40 cheers, Evan
  8. Thanks, Rado - that's great information. I'll definitely call Zaxcom when I get some free time. Cheers, Evan
  9. I get this issue often on my Nomad when I try and hot-swap an IE battery using the Audio Root MKII. Cheers, Evan
  10. This is fantastic. Is this a kit of some sort or an original creation of yours? Cheers, Evan
  11. Actually, one of the founders has been in the film industry since birth. Her father is Lloyd Kaufaman, president of Troma Entertainment and her mother was the Film Commissioner of the State of New York for many years. I met her on set when she was only 8yrs old - so, it's safe to say she has "real straight practical experience". Cheers, Evan
  12. Thanks a lot, Glenn. Great work, as usual. While I completely agree with you in theory, the level of TC crosstalk I experienced from my ERX2s was totally unacceptable - both for post and for an expensive piece of professional audio equipment. Its simple to disengage the TC output for client IFB purposes.... I'm not sure who is sending TC to a director's ear, but it certainly isn't me. Cheers, Evan
  13. It was an issue on all three of my ERX2TCDs and I tried multiple cables. And I am not alone - which is why Audio Department in Burbank has been making the BNC mods for many users. Cheers, Evan
  14. what Constantin said.... BUT, the flying lead on the one I am selling is regulated @ 12V. Cheers, Evan
  15. Does the 1/8" locking connector fix the TC bleed issues of the previous models, or will I need to get any ERX3s I buy modded with a BNC as well? cheers, Evan
  16. Same issue here. Thankfully it is one of my way-backups and I use it rarely. Cheers, Evan
  17. Adam - I have an unused DVSQN4S available to sell for a great price. If you're interested, shoot me an email: sendittoevan (at) gmail (dot) com http://jwsoundgroup.net/index.php?/topic/25550-fs-hawk-woods-dvsqn4s-battery-distro-system/ cheers, Evan
  18. I see the chroma-green being useful for location shoots, rather than on a green screen. It would be easily to pluck the green boom from a wide shot exterior. Cheers, Evan
  19. Thanks for all the leads, everyone! All names and contact info have been forwarded to the PM. Cheers, Evan
  20. Good PM I know is looking for reality/doco Dallas local (with cooking show experience preferred) for an upcoming pilot. Email me your contact info if you fit the description: sendittoevan *at* gmail dotcom cheers, Evan Meszaros
  21. I was out bid by Adorama (of all places) for 2 reality kits on a 2 month rental. Their price was unbelievably low - I am assuming so they could get the show's camera rental out of it as well. I had to turn down the job because I refused to match their ridiculous price. I lost a ton of money from that experience. Cheers, Evan
  22. thanks for the prompt reply, Jon! Cheers, Evan
  23. Jon - I am curious if you are still using these and what your thoughts are after all this time. Thanks! Cheers, Evan
  24. I recently acquired the Audio Root eSmart BG-DH MKII + four Inspired Energy batteries (98Wh / 6.8Ah) and on day one I noticed my Nomad and all four of my SRbs getting very very hot. Definitely more hot to the touch than usual. I am powering all 5 units with the single Audio Root distro. Granted, it was 98dg outside and the temp gauge on the Audio Root was reading a steady 37dg (C) but I've used my rig in warmer weather and have not noticed the SRBs getting this hot before. Has anyone else using this system noticed a rise in gear temp? Cheers, Evan Meszaros
  25. I wish they focused on the recorded sound in the presentation video. The background music made it impossible to discern the gadget's quality. Cheers, Evan
