  3. a recent deal memo i received stated that the production company was not responsible for any damage to myself or my gear. when i emailed back asking about it, i was fired right away. definitely did not lose any sleep over losing that job.

  11. i had one for a bit but returned it. it sounds fantastic but has a very noticeable noise floor. going to pick up an omnigoose and see if it's any better.

  15. exactly, i bought a ktek travel boom that fits perfectly in a 1510 for just this reason.
  16. forgot to mention my dead simple workaround- black backpack rain cover over the whole mix bag. much less suspicious.
  17. i throw my mix bag under the seat and all the other expensive bits go in a 1510 in the overhead compartment
  18. that sounds much better. in my experience the black magics are the REDs of the DSLR world, with an equal amount of audio issues.
