here's a pro tip for you RF explorer users: Lectro scanners are measured from -47 dBm at the top to -107 dBm at the bottom. set your RF explorer the same to get parity with your receiver scanners.
-
I also don't understand why anyone uses mic level out on lectro receivers. +5 out is optimal SNR period.

nice setup Olle i can attest to the beauty of the Kortwich waist only bag. my chiropractor misses me though.
-
hell yeah dude I love the RF explorer. it really helped me to learn more about the RF spectrum and what kinds of things produce interference.

it all depends on whether it's "vodka day" at the factory...

yeah Pascal I'd like to see your kit with the new kortwich bag since I use one also. Simon what's your runtime with that Swit v-mount? 6-7 hours?

Hawkwoods DVSQN4S and Nomad Power Question

You have the Lenmar ones? I have two sets as well and they both run down to 11v. Weird. -
Hawkwoods DVSQN4S and Nomad Power Question
Max Hirtenstein replied to Bradley Murphy's topic in Equipment
So this is my exact same setup, even the batteries with 7800 mAH. First of all the built in power cable is unregulated, so that's why you get up to 16.5 volts. The other four outputs are switched and regulated at 12v. My Nomad can run all the way down to 11.5 volts though, not the 14 you said. Can't help you there. With a Nomad on and 2 SRb's I get around 8 hours runtime. -
all the cool stuff comes from Canada these days... great job.

I don't doubt it. There is no way I know of to consciously do a lo-pass on most recorders though. It's most likely a roll-off on cheap wireless systems (or buried lavalieres) or something went wrong in the picture edit stage.
-
Neverclip is a nice feature on zaxcom recorders.
-
And Henchman I do believe we're on the same side. -20 avg and -10 peaks with perhaps the loudest going closer to my limiters which are set at -2. Furthermore all ISO's are attenuated with neverclip. Palmer's original post specified specified -20 PEAKS.
-
Who ever uses low pass filters on location?
-
Seems to me like there will always be complaints from clueless editors. Might as well do things the right way which is to record up to the very top bit of signal without hitting your limiter. Otherwise you might as well record in 16 bit.

I had this happen with an SMQv after sleeping and unsleeping with the Lectro RM app. It needed a firmware update. Turning off and back on fixed the problem but I'm sure you've already tried that. Check your firmware just in case.
