  1. Hi I have a Cooper 106 but also a CL9 controller what do you prefer? i know the benefit of using the CL9 I get all 8 ISO tracks and have less calble connections but it sounds different ? / better over the 788t preamps ? i like to use a cable boom but this days are over now 😞 greetings
  2. I use the insert outs its not symmetric line level but it works for isotracks

Testing out my Cooper 106 with a SD 788 I hope i do it right: Lectrosonics Recivers (SRC B1) going in the 6 Inputs of cooper 106 (switch to dyn) no pads output level is -35dB the LR mix i route to 7/8 line input of the SD788 route prefader to the mix track level 1kHz = -8 on the PPM meter is the little dot on the 788t meters the isos i level with the OSC output and level also the line level trim on the 788t to get the level on the little dot its -18dB FS The return i get from the Headphones in the return input of the Cooper i match the L/R when i switch to tape on the cooper with the headphone volume is this right ?

  6. In My current film we have manny reflections in glas and props .. We make a film in normal livingrooms and the light only original from the lamps ... So we have manny shadows and reflections and 2 cameras only handheld with easyrigs its a hard challange and the actors have no marks and long ways often crossing two rooms We used a cinela minix with a sennheiser 8050 as indoor boom mic an lav em all but we can mostly not standing behind the cameras they shot in different ways :-) Have anybody expirience with same situations ?

  9. i used only a transmitter on the boom by stadycam shots and locations when cabel is inpossible .. here in germany i see manny boom ops they make a complet film with wireless boom .. i like cabel ... maybe also a wirlessboom wen its steadycam action and running action in germany we have no Unitility to help with plant cabel´s in the set .. and saves time .. the Sound Department in Germany (and EU) its only two people .. we have mostly not manny time to plant cabels ... .. in this time .. i watch the camera rehersal ;-D its a dream when we have a Unitillity Person ... its not in the paymand of Production in German this its also they use wirelessboom

  13. yes its a bad thing to the orginal sound ... for action and stunts ists good ... but its come her in germany in fashion ... the cameras cheap to rent and .. the have more material in post .. but the quality of filmmaking its going down ... i like good long takes with good dialogs and sounds .. in nature .. and time for making sounds on set ..like ambient sounds and time to make a good microphon placment ... with hiding mics .. and surround recording on set ... we have more than 6 minutes stop time on day ...
  14. and all with a hot rehersal or no rehersal ...hahahah but the next film i hope its was a little bit easy .. 3 month "Handheld Style" with only 2 cameras in littele rooms :-D Boom Boom Boom :-D

We do the best we can ... we have also radio mics in use but the closeups and wideshots are in the same time maybe one camera and the other make the same frame ... and we can Boom but 1 week of the production we shot only in rooms full of glass and designer style of chairs and somthing see all reflections ;-D but mostly i boom from leaders and hide myself with molton and hide Schoeps mics under the tabels and overall to get the best sound as possible :-D but the shotet mostly far away with 150mm lenses so the camera crew is not in reflection and far away :-D the dolly and camera was all in black molton hahaha ... every day we make a black celebration :-D

Good Plan hahahaha but its was horror to boom in a 90° shot in front of a glass front ... we make it possible with make te pole and the mic totaly Black like the backgound with molton .. nobody see a mic its the same color like the background .. the problem was the light the make a contrast on the gear and with black papertape we hide the reflections from the light :-D
  17. its a MKH 50 on a boom pole the mic its taped with black matt gaffa and the boom pole is in Molton we make the expirience wen the boom its still you se noch reflections .. and you can move very slow and se no reflections ... but its very heavy
  18. hi i have a hard week in big buissness rooms with 360° 3 camera movments and all reflections hard thing was a 90° shot in a conferenc room with a big glass front ... i wear always black and the diagonal wall with the cameras was in back with molton .. but its hart to boom... we make a little expiriment: Tell me your expirience with relections ....
