  1. I switched to 4 channels of Shure ADX5D with AD1 TX's. If you don't need remote control of your TX's its is the least expensive to an all digital system. AD1 TX's are under $1000. Also, the Axient system has been the best most solid wireless performance I have experienced. I have owned all other brands at some point in my career.

    Sound great

    Solid RF performance on whips

Great battery life even with Alkaline batteries

Menu screen on ADX5D is large and easy to read and navigate

You don't have to set gain on TX

Only down side if any is TX's are bigger but since I don't do narrative not  an issue so far.

Yeah but DSQD in a bag is a little cumbersome though isn't it?

Maybe for some, but its lite and a clean setup which I like, compared to something like two SR with an antenna  distribution set up or Sl-2

  3. If you don’t need antenna distribution then the 822 is probably the better choice. I personally have never seen a mixer bag with

two or more SRC without antenna distribution.

But I think the value and future proof way to go is a DSQD

  4. I would recommend you get a DSQD it’s 4 channels digital or hybrid with Dante or AES

    and built in antenna distribution.

2 - SRC Kits with adapters, cables,

antenna distribution or SL-2   5k- 8K depending on what you get. Also, only one band A1 or B1

2- 822  7k plus antenna distro and cable cost

1- DSQD  about 5k it’s not as small as two 822 but probably the same size as 2 SRC with an SL-2 and SL-2 is not a stand alone unit.

  5. I usually send +10 or hotter from my mixpre 6 to an FS7 in at line level,  never had a complaint from cam op or post about the sound quality. One thing I have come across is the headphone out from the cameras can  sound harsh if they are monitoring in mono, have cheap headphones.

  6. My audio kit was stolen from my car at Fisherman’s Wharf on December 21st.

    Gear Stolen

    Mixpre 6 II

    SRC x2

    Lmb x2

    MixPre D

    Denecke Jb-1

    Sony Headphones

Orca 270 and an Orca Backpack

    Audio Root batteries and BDS

    various cables

I Filed a police report and have SN numbers for the Sound Devices and Lectrosonics

Following.   Can the SNA be modified to use the Betso bag adapter?

Yes you need to get a 1/4 20 reducer  the clamp and arm are all available on amazon from  smallrig. I think I got the reducer from B&H 3/8 to 1/4-20
