  1. I will be doing a shoot close to Denver, Co. I plan on using Lectrosonics Blk 22, 25 and 26. Does anyone know of issues with these Blocks in that area. Thanks, Steve
  2. Dave from K-Tek has contacted me directly to sort it out. Thanks Dave. I must add, that apart from this, I'm actually very happy with the Stingray. Was just wondering if this is a one off issue, or if anyone else out there has encountered this. Thanks, Steve
  3. The frame on my K-Tek Stingray just broke. Its a snap on the right hand bend on top front. Has anyone else had this problem. Not even a year old.
  4. The 633 in the stingray- a perfect match! NP-1 cup powering 411s neatly enclosed under RXs. Very solid
  5. The Stingray is awesome. It is a bit heavier than other bags, but this is because it is so rigid. This is such a bonus, as there is no sag. Cables and battery distribution are neatly zipped away, sides and bottom fully accessible. I've got my bag carrying 633, 4x411, 2x smda tx and NP1 BDS and it works really well
  6. This is the best form of transport when shooting in India!
  7. If you can't get what you need ( want ) in a 12 hour day, then YOU are NOT doing your job as a 1st AD (and director). To tell the crew to suck it up and keep going is not a good recipe. They have a huge budget, just shoot for an extra week. Don't tell me there's no money - think of the overtime payments in the current model
  8. My 2013 highlight was working with a great small crew on a feature in Cambodia. Then watching it premiere and win an award at the Venice Film Festival. The whole crew went! It really helped me remember that film is an art form. I think this gets lost a bit sometimes.
  9. Hmm, another reason to have a shotgun in the kit - (and i'm not talking about a mic)
  10. Discussed very recently here
  11. I with you Marc! Love the 60 for out and the 50 for in
  12. This is the moment I decided to go wireless to camera. Notice the frozen loom! -30C
  13. Looks like a great option for doco. Yep, I think I'll get one!
  14. I forgot - Going inside to warm air conditioned interiors from the freezing temperatures will cause metallic equipment to gather a layer of ice. Make sure you have a cloth handy to wipe down gear.
