To top it all off I crashed my car on that job too. Best example I can give is we were filming in a stationary car with the two actors speaking to each other, there is a running joke that the character has this big fancy car that hardly starts, so the director pulls a spark plug to make sure the engine never starts but during the scene you can't hear the lines over the sound of the engine trying to start and the actor fumbling with the keys in the ignition.
Now you can't see any of this in shot, so I approach the first AD (who is talking to the director), who has gone on to ruin another job from what I hear. I tell them we can't see any of this and it needs to be mimed as the audience won't hear what's being said that the engine noise is a post job. To which the director blows up on me shouting down to me that he can do what ever he wants in post and that he needs the energy that the car makes when it does not start.
I thinks its because I'm 25 people think I'm a student and I have no clue what I am talking about. So between that and the car crash it nearly stopped me from doing this as a career ........... and breath, rant over
