  1. For auto record to work one needs to turn of the a20 before replacing battery. v7.60 Firmware e5bf5ec3-6a22-49be-a424-87bc2d19d175.mp4 I have requested at tech support that also after running out of battery the auto record feature would remain working.
  2. They claim UP to 12h and i am rather sure that this is with energizer on 2mw i tested 20mw+rec with dpa 6060 and get 9h continuously, been told from colleagues that 10mw very often would work great. For me having played around with app a little the remote on off (only having 2 tx for now) the 9h i am very much okay with (as for me so many benefits come for a small runtime price) like the quick and reliable turning on off (smal cautioun here only time will proof this.
  3. I started on Audio Ltd 2040’s (as i think those sounded the best) and after the A10 became available in 2017 those replaced my 2040’s i loved a lot on the A10 that feeling got even stronger After SD released the free upgrade to “long range” mode. on the A10 (the lack of reliable/responsive remote control) was and is my biggest regret. the other one being having to rebuild bag rather often for more or less wireless channels. also the dreaded “slow card” error that i never was able to prevent 100% on internal recording, i worried about more then i like to admit. for me the Nexus promised to solve these “problems” a20tx has the battery life and features i love plus some very very nice ones like epaper gone are the days of sticking tape with number amd names on my tx’s. When sd married audio ltd i was very happy as i expect this would result in great symbiosis. now on a sidenote could we please revert that whole brexit shenanigans so the european SD HQ would have its office in the actual EU

  6. some answers from sd Hello Martijn, I have provided the answers to your questions below each line. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. 1) when external power dies will it auto switch to internal aa power? - When the 664 is set to external power and AA batteries are also present, should the external power be lost during recording, the 664 will switch over to internal power until the recording is finished. Once the recording is finished, the 664 will properly close the file and then power down. This ensures that files will never be lost in the event of abrupt power loss. 2) will simultaneous tc mp3 and wav recording be possible in future fw update? - Yes 3) can i record the iso tracks to both sd and cf card - Yes 4) what is the max length for scene names? - As of now, the maximum length is 9 characters for the scene name field. 5) The preamps are now transformer-less, possibly the same preamps in the 7-series recorders? - The 664 contains unique preamps. They are however very similar to the preamps within the 744T. 6) pre roll in the shipping fw version? length? - There will be a preroll feature. Right now, the maximum length is 5 seconds. 7) last but not least do you have an example sound report from 664? - I'll put this on my to-do list and see if I can get my hands on a sample file. Right now, I don't have one. You can expect to hear back from me within the week. I appreciate your patience. i am kind of fan of the aes42 mics idea and the 664 has that option
