  1. Micke Can you me more specific about the drawer kit? Brand etc? Thanks
  2. Was/is there an MKH 418 that is not S? I've searched here, on the Sennheiser site etc.
  3. Just don't wire your breaker panel that way.
  4. Are those SM-57s? I would have expected the 58s
  5. Manual here: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/News/News-Post.aspx?News=4491
  6. Leave the windows down and a large attack dog in the car?
  7. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cwg/3955005405.html $450 - Filming July 29th for 10 days. Location Sound Recordist Needed (Atlanta ) We are filming from July 29th - Aug 7th. Its an indie love film. Would prefer lavs. The budget is $450, food on set, imdb credit. Please send your work reel if you have one and a list of equipment you have. Thanks! i Location: Atlanta it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests Compensation: $450 Yes that's $450 total all in. I guess $45/day all in isn't bad for a starving newbie. After all it includes food too. <G>
  8. I bet your set up sketches and plan sheets look good. Not to mention folks should be able to read your handwriting. <G> I let bean counting go the way side, but my expense reports always fly through accounting. I've even been called by accounting to help them figure out other crew expense reports.
  9. Now here is a great CL Post: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cwg/3941713950.html Looking For a Great Crew If you post in this thread or creative thread asking for people to work for free and wonder why you get flagged, keep reading. If you're not paying, then post in the barter or volunteer sections or better yet, look for the local groups on other sites so you can exploit those people. If you post looking for an 'intern', more than likely violating state laws: 1.. The training is similar to that which would be given in a vocational school; 2.. The training is for the benefit of the trainee; 3.. The trainees do not displace regular employees, and work under close observation; 4.. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the trainees and on occasion the employer?s operations may actually be impeded. And if this video describes anything in your post: Remember, you get what you pay for and if you really believe in your project you will find a way to fund it so that everyone gets paid. With the internet in this day and age, getting funding is a lot easier and you'll have a better end result and not waste anyone's time with your delusions. it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests Compensation: Common Sense
  10. Not if you want the room acoustic also. Now for the outdoor gig, yes. When using MS be certain that the acoustic space does not have a side to side bounce where you place your mic. I had to record a string quartet in a room that had place glass side walls. The flutter was a true nightmare.
  11. Sound Ideas is running a 50% off most house libraries this month if anyone is needing. http://www.sound-ideas.com/sound-ideas-order-form.html
  12. At least it's better paying than this Mandy Listing http://www.mandy.com/1/jobs3.cfm?v=55299455&skill=all&terr=usga Two travel days, two shoot days $800 all in + Gas reimbursement provided as well as meals and hotel in Wise, VA Let me think, $500 or 200 a day.
  13. I'm looking for a head worn mic similar to the Oscar HM 701 but for very large heads. The Proel HCM08 appears to have the adjustable length needed between ear hook, but I don't see a US seller. Note the ear hook position from a typical headset, just barely hanging on. Because this is for a non profit community project, cost is a consideration. Any suggestions
  14. +100 to a great weekend. The casualness of Saturday and the great info on Sunday was fantastic.
  15. Whit Thanks for a great party. I just hope the coffee is good and strong for Sunday. <G>
  16. You gotta love this one: NEED AUDIO & BOOM OP FOR SHORT FILM (ATLANTA) We are shooting a short film on June 22 & 23, but will only need audio on one of those days. The entire scene will take place inside of a car outside. And from a different listing: The production has a low budget and we are open to negations that create business relationships that will not only benefit your resume but also your film services/career as well.
  17. My bet is they want this old inventory off the shelf. SI does offer most of their libraries on hard drive with meta data.
  18. For the cheese plate rig cameras, I took a strip of brass from the hardware store, mounted a thin strip of wood to match a G2 clip size and covered with gaff. The bottom nut is usually removed before mounting. A quick and easy mount for a G2/3 RX
  19. For on stage, look at the Allen & Heath line. Full 100mm faders and British EQ.
  20. Because they are illegal in Seattle
  21. There are still a good number of G2 units for sale at better prices. Just be certain you don't pick up any C-band 700 mhz gear. The Oscar mics are great.
  22. A good one from CL today: Seeking a Gaffer for a featured film. Email us your resume, reels and any references. Filming in June 2013 The gaffer is also known as the chief lighting technician. This person is primarily responsible for developing a lighting plan according to the desires of the Director of Photography. The gaffer informs the best boy and key grip on where and which lights are to be placed. The gaffer is in charge of creating the best possible lighting scenario according to the camera framing.
  23. A reminder that The PR-72b receiver requires a high impedance (> 32 Ohm) headphone or earphone. The Otto earphone will not turn the receiver on without modification.
