Really wish Zaxcom made a version similar to the Sound Devices SL-6 something to clean up the bag but still utilize our qrx receivers. Maybe next year.....??

For some reason I cannot get my camera link to send a signal to my qrx235. Frequencies match up it even shows a strong signal but qrx stays red, says no signal and I see no audio levels... very confused. Any feedback would be awesome!

Okay guys im trying to restructure my rates now that I have updated gear. Let me know your feedback. Let me know if I am low balling the LA market or not. Dont want to undercut anyone but at this current time in my life this is usually the range I come across and rate that I can negotiate. I want to start sending a breakdown to some of my clients so they can better understand what they are paying for. But want to get some feedback on my breakdown to make sure that I am charging a reasonable rate but not shooting myself in the foot. Thanks fam! Great stuff guys, new question so we can all be on the same page. When we say basic package what does that included to you? Basic package could mean different things for different people. So let's be clear to discuss what a basic package is so we all can begin to offer the same basic package. The more we are all alike in our package rates and what we supply with the packages we offer the more producers will learn what to expect to pay us.

Well said!! Sounds like you do the same type of work that I'm doing. Yes this is exactly why I wanted to talk and ask my peers so I can make sure I stay in the same page with everyone. Sorry I have been MIA on my post work picked up and had me a little sidetracked very grateful for everyone's feedback and thoughts. The more we support eachother the better of we will be. I was currently charging 500/labor and 200/gear but now since I have more I want to up that in price and better breakdown my package so thanks sound family for feedback.

Fellow sound mixers! I wanted to get your feedback on Los Angeles non-union rates. I recently upgraded and bought more gear. So I wanted to share with you my gear and see what you guys charge. That way I am not under cutting other mixers or being offered less then a fair rate by clients. So again what would your labor rate and kit rate be? Also what would your kit include before you start charging a la cart? Thanks for your time with this.
