You do not need to send to the factory. You need to CALL Zaxcom direct so they can give you an unlock code via phone. Once again please wait until November 1st if you are going to a Lite or a 10.

Hello Boys and Girls! As you may or may not have heard there have been a few changes to the Nomad line from Zaxcom. The Nomad 4 will now become the Nomad Lite The 6 and 8 will be upgradable to the 10 or 12. Nomad 4 to Nomad Lite - $95* Nomad 4 to Nomad 10 - $950 + $300 upgrade fee Nomad 4 to Nomad 12 - $2,095 + $300 upgrade fee (Must come to Zaxcom for the hardware upgrade, tracks may be unlocked via a code) Nomad 6 to Nomad 10 - $150* Nomad 6 to Nomad 12 - $1295 + $300 upgrade fee (Must come to Zaxcom for the upgrade, tracks may be unlocked via a code) Nomad 8 to Nomad 12 - $195* The above pricing is good until December 31, 2012. Upgrades with the * are done factory direct only and are not discountable. Beginning January 1st the $300 upgrade fee will be applicable to ALL upgrades. Just an update: New boards for SRa upgrade to SRb will become available mid-November or early December. This is a LOOSE eta from Lectrosonics. If you'd like to go through us (Gotham Sound) for an upgrade please contact us and let up know the block and serial number of your receiver. Starting July 1st Lectrosonics products (when the ship) will now have an exciting new product design. Back Lit LCD's will be available on SM, HM, and WM (when they ship) transmitters. This is a feature that has been requested for some time. Some new units have been shipping with the feature. I can think of one pleasantly surprised customer who discovered this last week. HOWEVER, "Due to the difference in part costs between the old and new displays, along with the cost of re- designing the circuits and housings for these transmitters; there is a cost increase, effective July 1, 2012, for these products: each will increase $75 unilateral, and $100 for list price" It will NOT BE POSSIBLE to upgrade pre-existing units to this feature. Also, Starting July 1st certain SMV's, SMQV's and HM's (serial # dependent) that DO NOT HAVE BACKLIT LCD's will not be subject to unilateral pricing. Wednesday June 27th Gotham Sound is opening up a sales staff 788 training to a limited number of outside participants. Please e-mail sales@gothamsound.com if you'd like a spot. We go on at 6.
