  1. some ppl don;t want to clip on their pants , would it also make a ring to have a climbing buckle hang with the case?
  2. I am using Lectro BLK 21 and Zaxcom BLK 21 . i know two blk are slightly different on the spectrum . How ould i improve the zaxcom gear range by adding a filter? adding after my RF multi output to Qrx? or it is just fine if it is QRX 100 ?
  3. By few testing, i found improved result. I am using 1X qrx 100 and 1 X RX900 . 1 X 411 and 1 X 211 Now i route the RF Venue diversity fin two antenna output by T joint to RF multi input . And RF multi output each to the RX ,A antenna input, B input keeping kit antenna . As now , i found better result ,not big problem as far the test. May be i next should be getting the mic plexer
  4. I just bought the a second hand RF multi , work with my 4 wirelss ( 2 Lectro , 2 Zxacom RX) with RF Venue antenna . I route one BNC from the RF multi 4 output to 1 antenna of 4 receiver A antenna input, the B input i keep using the original kit antenna . I found that it significant improve the range of Lectro , But Zaxcom RX doesn't seems have much effect, even sometimes goes little bit down compare to using 2 original kit antenna . Is that any reason of the designing principle of that? does the RF multi could not work on the Zxcom RX ,or i need to get mic pixler for doing this ? Thanks .... Jacky
  5. Tried, but still not working that way...... set same gp same ID.....
  6. Hi guys, I just recently change to Zaxcom wireless system , i got 2 TRX LA and QRX 100 (without IFB). , and TRX 900CL . I am trying to remote my TRX LA to record mode using rec run mode and IFB RX mode receiving signal from my TRX 900CL , i successfully sending TC to those TRX from TRX900CL. But i can 't press rec on TRX 900CL to Trigger the TRX record . Is it possible to do that ? or if it can , do i miss something? Jacky

    TRX 900 CL

I just bought TRX 900 CL, i found that the power connector is Switchcraft 761. However, i search on Trew, B& H ...........there is no Hirose to Switchcraft 761 power cable for me using the my BDS. and is there any other name of Switchcraft 761 , seems now very common ....
  8. http://www.stanleytools.com/default.asp?TYPE=CATEGORY&CATEGORY=ZAG+ROLLING+WORK&PAGENUMBER=2 I just bought the stanely rolling case, used once , happy with them, got plastic shelf construct but aluminum surface board ,with drawers , not that heavy .seems solid . i used to use a makeup rolling case for that, but only half year it just broken, it is more tiny ,compact but most of them are cheap and thin wood board after i discover when i used that. just too fragile. but lights i am also still seeking a better design too....
  9. WHt u should do is to use your equipment budget to. Hire a sound man, that all
  10. Sorry if u same time is the cam operater (suppose documentary doesn't spilt dp and cam operator) and the sound man , forget all wht i said ..............
  11. Sorry for my mixing up the headphone model. The AT mentioned is great headphone. the senator is right on that I though the Sanken CS3e or senns 8060 probably fis for you , i personal using CS2 , in quiet room it sound good, but not that great in noisy area. I though the stereo recording may be or may be not necessary in your case, Do u know where the final product project? TV , youtube , or cinema. Both have very different standard. If it is doing on Tv or you tube only , probably don't need that pretty amb recording . but if it is in cinema , even u may think of 5.1 amb recording. So i though where it goes finally definitely matter. I do most low budget drama or interview , and i save money to buy equipment one by one. So , i am not that luxury on buying equipment. And one man band , u may need to consider how convenient thing set up if u take about 10 or 15 min to set up 2 mic to do the thing..... it make not that suits.....some stereo mic may suits u more. docu may very fast moving in some shooting days...... u may need to got BDS power , NP 1 battery for ur recorder and the wireless receivers . And buy an pelican case for protecting ur equipment<they are expensive.......
  12. and u will need a boom pole , even u are one man band , the run and gun style documentary , u must booming ..........and the boom sound always has Priority than lava mic in post ( given that both good and clean recording)
  13. First Maxx seems won't be out that soon . if u need recorder urgent , i suggest nomad Lite. Since u will doing interview ( i think that is your most important part , got a good shortgun for that, Sanken CS2 or 3e , Senns 8060 , Schopes CMIT , extc would defintly do the job , i though the better shortgun for interview is much more important than recording ambience if your budget limited. ) if u are running single system , buy an good snake cable ( with 2 XLRs , Hp return ) , that ensure the camera record the right sound and convenience your work . Buy some lava accessories , under and over cover , fuzzy . sometimes , if the dir don;lt want lava mic visible ,u still need to do that lava hiding . U should got better headphone , Sony 7506, or senheiser HD 25 1-2 , the most common location usage headphone will give u good monitoring with comfort. although some complains HD 25 discomfort , i still love it. boundary mic probably not ur must buy itmes.....
  14. Jack , Thanks for the advice , seems Camera Link and few ERX would slove my most problem , and i would leave the nomad as nomad Lite , and may upgrade later on . Since the back up recorder feature really attractive. I am using lectro and senns wireless systmen so probably not using Zaxnet that much.
  15. Thanks every one device. I am thinking of if buying IFB 100 would definitely improve ,uch range that using Nomad internal IFB ? but really no idea how nomad IFB range since it is using wifi , different with comtek , or lectro . And jack, for the camera link , it is could be send the audio via Nomad IFB same as to ERX ? And but the nomad 10 involve USB mirroring , AES input , automixing....... does it involve change of the mother board? so need to send back to monthership..... thanks
  16. I currently using Nomad lite as recorder and old comtek as IFB . Recently , i would like to upgrade my IFB . I noticed the ERX2 can been accepting audio from Zaxnet , so does it mean i caould upgrade my nomad to Nomad 10 or nomad 6( now no more available ) ? I can transmitting the IFB audio direct form my nomad to ERx2? It will save a lot from buying a IFB 100 /200 transmitter. is the range good for IFb , or i do need IFB 100 or 200 for IFB audio transferring? and what eaxctly the upgrade cost now from Nomad lite to next verson , since the product line change, the previous info can not applied. and for camera link , same ? can use nomad directly transferring audio feed? thanks a lot . Jacky
  17. i just wonder u are part time Sound man and full time camera man , or u would do it at same time? if u do it at same time, meaning u doing both on same job, u probably won't get enough attention and hand to do the mix and look into the frame at same time. And BOOMing? if u doing part time sound man job , u may wait for the PSC new fieldmixer if u are not urgent , or got 442 ,dur to ur expandable in future.
  18. For my experience , Cedar > WNS > Izotope > Z noise Cedar always did the best sound and smooth , even u elimating some diag freq, actually it keep it naturally . WNs is the quickest one and effectively , i do it with same logic with Cedar , but however not smooth and natural sound as Cedar Izotope is most powerful software i guess , every actual ,precise adjustment can be made but for over all denoise , time consuming , But always save my life in some critical 1 take thing. Z noise good for deal with some constant noise , refrigerator , air con , HMi ....... But not gd for changing noise background. This is all my experience so far and i do denoise with WNs frist , if needed izotope .... (No having Cedar but hv little experienced and discuss with cedar user.
  19. there is possible that because SM and Um series need different wiring of the COS 11d , adding resistor as Lectro suggest make SM sound softer . So u may check rather this cause problems
  20. but any easy method to check this ? i tried put at distance in home inthe wood box.but it work well indeed
  21. i got 2 sennheiser 3063 transmitter with around 7xx mhz , but i discover one easy interference with environment and apparently lower transmit distance compared with the other on field .But it is not very usual occurrence . But when i test at home that one seems work perfectly . So is it meaning the interference simply come with environment ? but i noticed that the RF signal is nearly full in Receiver 3041 U . but sometimes , during the shoot suddenly (interference noise come) , even without any distance change on the actor body , just sitting down ..... What kind of test or thing i can do with this ? Thanks your opinion
  22. I am a fresh location recorderlist ,work @ Hong Kong. I usually work on my own for both recording and booming. I used to bring out 1650 pelican with me . But in fact it is not very convenient if thing need picking or resting my mixer bag on it ( not that safety and solid stand) . Therefore , i bought a cosmetic rolling case to build a mini cart. IT is tiny compare to most of ur cart due to in Hong Kong , the location almost tiny flat, office , crowd street , And i need to take all my equipment on my own from home ,taking bus or train to location ,Extremely mobility is needed and need to be fast.
  23. Great .. ths for advices. Taipo , do u mean lacking supply?
