  1. I recently checked out the Ram C/V Tradesman. Main issue is the clearance of the rear hatch. My cart is 47" tall and the clearance is only around 38". Also, the interior would not clear my cart either even if I get it in at an angle. Sammy Huen
  2. The search function definitely need some work. Other than that, this forum seem to be working great the way it is. Sammy Huen
  3. Unfortunately, this cart is not foldable. Sammy Huen
  4. Anyone checked out the Dodge RAM C/V Tradesman? Seems like a good alternative. http://m.ramtrucks.com/en/mobile/vehicles/2013/ram-cv/?ref=/en/ram_cv/ Sammy Huen
  5. Sounds like a blast! As long as I'm not working that day, I'll make that drive up there. Sammy Huen
  6. Does Chuck Norris ever age? Good call Zack!! Sammy Huen
  7. Mono Mix to the director and script supervisor using Lectrosonics R1a or Comtek PR-216. Many also use the Zaxcom ERX systems. Sammy Huen
  8. Yes taking pics of a TC slate with a cell phone camera can yield unexpected results. Looking forward to seeing how your slate turn out. I guess true field tests will tell the whole story. Good luck with your venture George. Sammy Huen
  9. A Zagg Anti-Glare cell phone screen protector works wonders. Make sure you get the anti-glare version. I have those on both my 664s and they work great. Sammy Huen
  10. I do like the fact I can pull the the Primary CF card off a Fusion and mirror on a computer if necessary. I feel the Primary CF card is more robust than a spinning hard drive. I also carry a Lexar FW400 CF card reader/writer for the unexpected failures. Those readers are hard to find these days and I regret I didn't but more than 1. Sammy Huen
  11. Looking forward to this! I'm still in search of a good 664 bag. Sammy Huen
  12. Concerning timecode on the 663, there is no mention of the Ambient timecode. Does the 633 use the same timecode circuitry as the 664 or is it a different timecode clock being used? Sammy Huen
  13. Plus all the major manufacturer's phone numbers on speed dial. Sammy Huen
  14. What I noticed is the older COS-11 with the silver serial number labels don't have the problem of the grill turning metal color. All my newer ones has lost the black coating. And yes, a black sharpie marker does the trick temporarily. Sammy Huen
  15. Yes a lot of clients do use Premiere these days. The fact that it can import and edit native RED R3D files is a selling point. It's unfortunate that the audio capabilities of Premiere is so limited. FWIW, you can autosync R3D and timecode matched BWF in Resolve Lite 10 beta. You can export an XML and import into Premiere. However, you can't merge the files after importing that XML. Either that or, there is some other trick to it. Sammy Huen
  16. Same opinion here. The old WTB-WTS section has worked great.
  17. Thanks Snubisnax. I did see that thread prior to posting on here. I was hoping there was a trick someone here knows that some of the Adobe forum guys don't know. Guess the answer is no after all. Sammy Huen
  18. Is it possible to batch autosync sound and video using timecode in Premier Pro CS6? I know this can be done in Avid and FCP. There seem to be a merge clip with timecode function in Premier Pro, but this only lets you sync one at a time. What I would like to know is of there is a way to batch sync the files. Sammy Huen
  19. If you have been having this issue for a while and your show still have some more days, add 1 more lockit box and attach it to Nomad 2. Problem solved. Everyone will be in perfect sync. Sammy Huen
  20. Thanks Dean. I gathered most of my ideas on this cart from reading this forum as well. JWSound has been extremely resourceful. Sammy Huen
  21. Hey Vale, Here is the components for the Antenna mast. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546540-REG/Manfrotto_099B_3_Section_Extension_Pole_35.html http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/503258-REG/Manfrotto_154B_154_Triple_Microphone_Holder.html The pole rests on a slight protusion on the bottom of the cart. I simply secure it to the cart by wrapping a stip of velcro around and zip ties tio finish it off. Seems very secure so far. Hope this helps.
  22. Yes both the mast and antenna bar is Manfrotto. I have had this antenna setup on my old cart. It works very well. Sammy Huen
  23. Very nice Andy! I have a buddy who does custom metal fabrication. I will have him help me build something similar. Sammy Huen
  24. Thanks Bob. I may have borrowed that idea from you in the first place. Sammy Huen
  25. I finally put together my new cart and put it to the test this past week. It has been performing extremely well. I kept it simple yet effective. But it will constantly receive upgrades. The build process never ends. I will post better pics soon. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome. First mod will be to build a battery tray to properly hold the Pelican battery. Next up will be some lights. Sammy Huen
