I have a microdot adapter for Shure if you find yourself in need.

How long should last the correct time code after I turned off?, the blue led keep blinking for 3 hours but if I switch it on I see the time code is reset to 0. is this normal?
The manual (p 69) says up to 2 hours after power off.

YesI It was thanks .. also, Do you record that "voice slate" on a separate track if you are at the cart not near the boom?
Assuming you are using a recorder with one, you would use the built-in slate mic. If not, I would default to the boom mic and make a note as to what track contains verbal slates for post in your sound report. Be consistent.

Interesting, thanks! Yes, that's a good possibility. That name rings a bell somewhere, but I don't really know those mics.
I think Calrec was known more for their consoles. Still fetch quite a lot of money on the used market.

I always mic the tie knot like Nick stated, but I have moleskin layered over the hush lav my Cos-11 is encased in. I also make sure the mic element is poking completely outside of the hush lav. Works most of the time without fail.
LMC Sound use to carry a chest strap specifically for the Cos-11 that works well for hairy chests. Shipped in 3 sizes, but I'm not seeing it on their website just now.

I recently used a Cos-11 as a stage mic for a bluegrass jam and it worked great. I'd be a little hesitant about close mic'ing drums with them as you usually want a cardioid mic (plus the spl issue), but I have been curious about using them as a drum OH or room mic.
