  1. I thought it was funny, in a useless way!
  2. Why did I even ask? I'm headed to Amazon...
  3. @ SENATOR MIKE, guessing by your humor, does that mean that people (in general) have purchased that item? Or, have YOU purchased that item??? Ha Ha!!! It looks a lot more convenient that soldering a TA5M to a 3.5mm with a 1" piece of cable in between the two connectors... Do any of the "usual suspects" carry these adapters?
  4. Has anyone purchased these little adapters on ebay or amazon? They look like a good idea and to have a few in the wireless kits. I'd like to use my spare B6's or COS 11s (wired for Lectro) on my Senn. G3 units with out having to buy a dedicated mic for the occasional use on that system. They have a bunch of different types for microphone and beltpack connectors. Link on Amazon
  5. Does the interface need to be 12V powered? I'm using Metacorder w/ a Macbook Pro. My interface is a MOTU 896 MK3 getting lightpipe audio from a Focusrite Octopre. Clock is from a Rosendahl Nanosyncs. Timecode can come into the system on an analog input on the 896 or the Mac 3.5mm input. The 896 can use USB2 or FW800 to connect to the laptop/hard drive. I was using a Protools HD3 rig w/ a 96I/O, a digi Sync unit and a tower G5. Lots of road cases!!! Recording 16 channels with no problems with a much smaller footprint, but you need AC power for the rig...
  6. Did we have to list ALL of the gear we purchased this year???
  7. The JWS Canon C300 Audio thread had a lot of great info. I've worked with the camera before on a commercial. The camera was set to Time of Day free run. I jammed my recorder and slate from the Canon, but timecode had some drift. (Maybe 24 was really 23.98 and the AC and I were not aware of the "24 is 24" issue???) I have a shoot coming up with a C300 with my new Timecode Buddy system. Since there is no 12V tap on the C300 (unless they have a V mount and D-Tap), looks like I'd have to have the TC Buddy master unit on the camera (velcro'd to some gaffer taped adapter plate on the back of the flimsy LCD monitor). Looks like I'd send TC to the tx unit from the recorder to the Master Unit on the camera. Has anybody used the TC Buddy system on a C300? I'd appreciate any tips or settings that were used especially using the Gen Lock settings on the Master Unit into the C300. And, on battery changes, will the C300 just snap into reading TC and Gen Lock from the Master Unit? Happy New Year to everyone out there!!!
  8. TC Buddy System with some spare iPods from the Apple Refurb store (cheap!) And the 664, of course...
  9. I'd like to pre-order (2) mini Rx units and the new "Top Secret" Wi-Fi TC Buddy Slate that is also under development!!! Hmmm. Sugar Plums Dancing in my headphones....
  10. Does anybody remember what they paid for their Fostex PD-4 when that first came out?
  11. Q: What's your budget? A: There is NO PAY, however you will receive credit and a DVD copy for any work as well as IMDB listing! I'll tell this to the bank that holds my mortgage...
  12. It's the "gallery" tab at the top of the website, between "blog" & "resource"...
  13. Where can I find a "Boom Bracket" in the US?
  14. Is it just me, or are the Gallery Page links showing error messages?
  15. Andy, it doesn't bother me at all. I just cancelled my cable TV service today!!! I do have to keep my eyes on the ITU levels on the CALREC Artemis though....
  16. I actually had the same problem. It was a piece of lint in the switch area that wouldn't let it shut off!!! A little canned air fixed it... Try that before getting an RA from lectrosonics...
  17. I can't wait for the Rx only boxes in 2013. Hint Hint....
  18. I'm sorry I started this thread. I purchased the TC Buddy system, and there is a lot of jaw dropping going on with newbies to the system (camera dept. and producers). The iPhone/iPad app is a great value added on the set (it's cool guy stuff). Now, I'm going back to reading my Joel Salatin books on organic farming and having a glass of Single Malt Scotch...
  19. YIKES!!! That's pricey!!!! https://www.l3sys.com/xcart/SA0012.html
  20. I've been eyeing this one on Amazon: LINK

Is there a "pin out" diagram for the Sound Devices Hirose 10 pin online and is that cable compatible with the Remote Audio cable products? I can't find it on their website...
  22. I was considering the Denecke GR-2 units. I work with some producers that don't use "Time of Day", and the camera timecode is the master. The camera rolls are usually Hour 1, Hour 2, etc. as we shoot through out the day. I also like the idea of the iPhone/iPad app for DSLR cameras or the b-roll cameras and for producer/directors. I'd really love to see some RX only units in the same footprint as the TX units. Maybe NAB 2013???
