  1. I use QSC K10 speakers. Lots of inputs and outputs. AC power only...
  2. Will a laptop on the TimeCode Buddy WiFi Network display timecode like the iPod/iPad app?
  3. My mileage may vary. I just pulled the trigger on a TC Buddy Master and TX unit.....
  4. I'm considering the Timecode Buddy system. I'd like to see smaller "RX only" units for cameras that are the same size as the TX units. The Master unit should be in the mixer bag or on the cart, after all it is the Master...
  5. From their webpage, looks like I'd need multiple "master" units for each camera in a multi-camera shoot... http://timecodebuddy.com/scenario2.asp
  6. Timecode Buddy looks pretty good as a dedicated system. Have you used the app for iPhones?
  7. I need some advise from the experts out there... When distributing time code to cameras from a Sound Devices recorder (788, 664, etc), please discuss your success/failure of using wireless system (Senn. G3's, COMTEKs) vs. Lockit boxes, vs. Denecke GR-2 units? Please advise...
  8. If the boom is in the shot, the shot is too wide....
  9. So you can jam a bunch of GR-2 units and stick them on cameras, slates, video village, scripty, etc? Good if you are running time of day. Why not distribute time code with one WL transmitter and multiple WL receivers? Am I missing the "cool" factor???
  10. I use a Focusrite Octopre w/ lightpipe and a MOTU 896MK3 clocked by a Rosendahl Nanosync. I use Metacorder and Protools software...
  11. My first 1G drive for my Sound Tools (now Protools) system cost $2,200 in 1991. I still have it as a museum piece...
  12. I use Metacorder for 10-14 channel multitrack recording on set tied in with a broadcast truck. The truck supplies NTSC blackburst and 29.97DF LTC to me. That is fed into a Rosendahl Nanosync unit that takes in the blackburst and timecode and puts out solid wordclock to a Focusrire Octopre w/ adat lightpipe out to a MOTU 896MK3 that also gets the same wordclock. The MOTU sync is set from the lightpipe and the LTC is fed into one of the analog inputs on the MOTU. The key to success for me is Wordclock that is derived from Blackburst and LTC via the Nanosync. My mic inputs are split to an Allen & Heath analog audio console for monitoring purposes. Never had any problems with drift.
  13. I'm new to the forum. My name is Steve Wytas from Audio 911. I have a couple of 664's on order, but they are probably on a UPS truck in Staten Island, NY. About the 664, any idea if there are plans to have the 664 be used a USB interface like the Mix-Pre D? That would be a cool feature....
