Hello all one of my HI-Q 98 with less than 40 charges, has suddently decided to keep sleep after total discharge. i’ve 2 chargers a 2 bay audioroot, and the one Aaton provides with the X3 none of them can charge it. What can I do to wake up the unit? thanks for your ideas. i’m using this batteries on my cart, no water, no short , nothing clean thanks!

Hello We are shooting with water and one of my skp3000 has been soaked. Now it works but it has loose the phantom. Someone knows if the phantom circuit is in the rf board or the pcb one ? Thanks for the information

Hello all. I've worked in my first film in 1996 with a rented inmaculate Nagra IVS , and it was an excelent experience. In 94, i've used a Nagra III to record some cars FX, and mono backgounds for a film, and it was very fun. I've since 1990 a Revox B77, that's in the shelf now, as a pair of Uher reports, but i never owned a Nagra. In my country a guy is selling a Nagra III and a Nagra E, and my blood starts to boil again.... The III is a legendary machine, but it's older, and i'm affraid something goes wrong in the future ( it's working fine now). The E is simpler, and newer, but less attractive to me… Somone knows which has the best preamplifier?, i would like to run a good dinamic mic...and i don't know if they can handle a Schoeps or a 81i or they overload…… I need it? noooooo I will work with it? nooo I don't know, what would you choose?

Hi Matthias, yes i'll use a Aeta Mixy french mixer, very good preamps, and limiters. The stereoline transmitter has an ugly 4 pin lemo conector, and needs to be wired with some electronics into....

Hi Matthias, i will be fine as i'll use an Aeta audio Mixy, very good preamps and limiters. I'm not clear on how to wire the cables to conect a balanced line out to the 4 pin lemo, but Gotham sound can build them, but not test them as they don't have any unit. If someone has this cables in the drawer, drop me a line, i'm interested. Thanks!!

Hello all. Never used Zaxcom before, but i was thinking if an old stereoline -RX900-S system can be used to transmit to my cart a stereo MS schoeps pair, powered by a good preamp.... I was reading a bit, and the rf "spread" of the tx should not be a problem in this setup, as no other wireless systems will be in the same bag. So for those who have used this system: How is the quality of the transmission?, signal to noise ratio? frequency response and distortion assuming the rf link is good and the original signal is a high quality one? I know new digital systems are better, but it's not the point in this thread. Thanks for your opinions!

Hi all i met Franck by casualty, in NY when he was recording Dellaventura in 1997. The set was under my hotel ( pioneer hotel at this moment) I introduced myself, he invites me to stay with him, close to the nagra and drop me a Comtek. Hello, i've bought a Wlav pro to test with my Lectros. With the Microdot to ta5f supplied with the mic, In the 200 series, no problem at all. In the 400 ( SM, 400'stx), i'm having big hiss. Any experiences on that?, do i need to wire the connector mic at the end for the Digital Hybrid series? Any experiences on that?, thanks! Sound is good, a bit sibilant....

Hi all. In my lav case, I've some mke2's with bent cables. Cables are clean, capsules too, but the cable is not straight, and is impossible to use them with light garment....at least for me, I prefer to go with another ones. But for some situations, I would like to have a straight mke2.. Someone knows if they are a magic thing to do, to help them to find a straight line? I've tested with coconut oil, and despite to clean, and soften a little bit the surface...... Any tip? Please avoid the " buy a new one" answers. Thanks!

We have 2x 98KW/H, and the cantar X3 charger, doesn't allows to plug both at the same time, it can charges just one with the other out of the charger.... What a F&%$()" charger
