    Repair 442 Invoice

  2. Thanks (one exception) to everyone for their input. I can now purchase or build this thing . To comments by (drumroll/caps) the "SENATOR"... "No" is to a moronic assumption that anyone asking for information must be lazy and/or an idiot. Most of us attempt the research but appropriate search terms occasionally elude us. As witnessed by this thread, "usual suspects" can also be reached here with their responses available to many. Name change please: (drumroll/caps) "BLATHERER".
  3. Those were my thoughts. I just wondered if someone had already gone through the process. Thanks.
  4. I have a DPA 4061 terminated with a TA5M for Lectro servo input. I'm having trouble finding an adaptor or schematic for wired 48v, XLR use. Any ideas anyone? -Thanks
  5. I heard back from the company. This unit is filtered for audio and has the regulator in the 9v case: BE9-AUDIO-AC 9 Volt Battery Eliminator
  6. Since I already cut the cable I'll probably put this small regulator inline and hopefully be done with it: 9v regulator
  7. Actually, this model has the 9v regulator in the wall wart and the battery case is just a pass thru. I found out the hard way (my BDS 14v appeared on the 9v terminals. Glad I checked before installing in my M216!) I think the right item is: http://www.qcavionix.com/be-9.php?cat=20503 Not sure if the voltage is regulated in the cigarette lighter end or the battery case. I'm calling them Monday.
  8. Stingray. Not too big, heavy or deep. Different manufacturers have different ideas regarding: "Free access to all mixer panels; sides, back, and top" (Petrol 601) K-Tek actually gives you that access and the rigid frame adds to the ease of plugging/unplugging cables.
  9. I went with the QCAvionix Battery Eliminator. Nothing is easy- it's slightly deeper so I'll have to accommodate that. Where did you shave- the back of the eliminator, front or both?
  10. Looks like a choke near the transmitter connector. I don't find this cable or details anywhere. The tech I talked to didn't mention it.
  11. I ordered a choke with a switchcraft 761k connector. Damn- a lot of help here! Thanks!
  12. Only these two guys know and they both unfortunately, suffered an untimely death.
  13. Trying to keep my bag light for this tired old body. The BST adds another 11 oz. One of the reasons I shifted to 633/Stingray. I'll probably go with the 216/BDS experiment for now. The Comtek tech had thoughts on that. We'll see.
  14. 10mw vs 100mw. Notice any add'l rf problems in the bag from that? Thanks
  15. Thanks. I'm currently using iPower 9vs. You both make a good argument but the OCD side of me wants everything in the bag on BDS. One switch and it all turns off. It's one 9v I won't have to chase down the night before.
  16. My M216 lives in my bag 100% of the time and I'd like to power it with the BDS. Comtek tech support basically came up with the same idea as me: Fashion a wood block to 9v battery dimensions, mount the appropriate terminals/wire and power it with a regulated 9v feed from the BDS. I've looked at the ISO9VOLT but the connector is in the wrong place. Before I put this together has anyone come up with another solution? -Thanks
  17. Home brew with ideas from many in the DIY. The other ends terminate in D-Subs on the SRs. I might detail it elsewhere if I get some time. I just wanted to voice my satisfaction with the new bag.
  18. Got mine. Did a quick install for a short VO tomorrow. Nice and compact. Access is great. The bag's a pleasure. Thanks Dave, K-Tek!
  19. As the 633 connections are on the sides, is there room for straight connectors? Do the side pouches then need to be left empty?
