  1. This might be worth looking at... http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/video-sag-actors-voting-no-explain-why/ Laurence
  2. Yes, the cookie will come back, but now it's a fresh new cookie. Do the since last visit postings work any better now?
  3. It's easy to remove the cookie. If you have trouble with it just tell us what browser and version you're using.
  4. Further explanation can be found in a letter from the IA attorney to Axium's attorney that was just posted on 695's Announcements page moments ago.
  5. Seems like the message is not really about the 90 days. Did you get a check from Axiom... and then a letter asking you to send it back?
  6. It looks like you need to "Logout" in order for your "last visit" to have been the last time you viewed the forum. Otherwise, if you were to remain logged in all the time it would be logical that no new posts were added. Laurence
  7. There's no certain way to avoid this sort of thing from happening... only best practices that reduce the odds or that provide you a way out if it does happen again. Upgrade the forum software when new versions come out and make periodic backups of the database and keep an updated copy of the static files... all of which you did yesterday. If you had reason to doubt the vigilance of the webhost to take appropriate measures from their end, you could look for a new host but you and I have had a lot of experience with Lunarpages and there is not yet any basis to blame them. It probably won't happen again, but if it did, at least you know exactly how to handle it. You did a great job getting this fixed. Laurence
  8. You did it, Jeff. Everything appears to be intact. Good job. Laurence
  9. No, your computer has nothing to do with it. It's called sql injection and it's a common internet problem. It certainly would be good to try to upgrade but don't expect miracles, since your version 1.1.4 is not far off from the current version 1.1.8.
  10. Jeff, I did some additional research on this and it appears to have been a very old Windows-only trojan going back to 2001. This means that virtually all anti-virus software would be quite capable of thwarting any damage. And that Mac and Vista systems could not be affected. The official "threat assessment" for this is "low", based on it's low level of distribution and it's easy removal. Nonetheless, it serves as a reminder that anti-virus software should be current and that standard precautions should always be taken. And, of course, everyone should make regular backups of their computer, both to protect from malware and also from inevitable hard drive failures. Laurence
  11. Anyone happen to have a phantom powered 416 you wouldn't mind loaning to Local 695's Fisher Boom training program? Sennheiser very generously loaned us a mic since last summer but they just came to take it back. Don't need anything pretty. [by the way, all you 695'ers are invited to take advantage of this free one-on-one Fisher Boom training... that is, once we get a replacement mic. See www.695.com.] Laurence
