  1. I finally had a chance to take pics of my CF cards in SD quarantine and lo, KZ was in the serials. Would love to be able to trade them for functional ones...
  2. Had three files out of 17 on an approved 16GB Delkin CF (that's been issue-free on my 664) last Saturday that were unable to transfer to either OSX or Windows 7. Files on SD were fine (thank the Lordy). I received no error messages while recording. Have contacted SD.
  3. I hope Petrol makes a more thought-through bag for this one.
  4. $3G and some change. The 'kit' was around 3800. Super-stoked...
  5. When I was booming I ginned up a rig consisting of a Decimator at Village, feeding a cheap SD wireless transmitter that fed a cheap receiver in my hip bag that fed a set of glasses that had an SD screen beside the right eye. Was tricky but ultimately helpful.
  6. Last year I worked on a flick called Zero Charisma that had a wide shot of 5 talkers around a table playing D&D and while the shot was pretty scripted, the pace was speedy. Boom was impossible, so I engaged automix on all actors, had a Sanken not set to auto dangling in an overhead light for ambience to mask the automix gating and went for it. The end result was really solid. I still had isos in case it didn't work out.
  7. Nice, Sammy! I've also used that bar for a while now.
  8. I've interviewed Acker Bilk there. It's a lovely place. Wiltshire isn't far from there, that's where Peter Gabriel's studio is. I wanted to visit it badly but didn't have time.
  9. I was being snarky, but that is a great point. I wonder if Adobe will port their stuff that direction, eventually?
  10. Here's a FB gallery of stuff I saw while working in Moore for a few days: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201314722098820.1073741825.1495912841&type=1&l=ba51115247 Pretty surreal, the damage. A wonder more folks weren't hurt.
  11. Same deal here, older block 26.
  12. Like it. It appears the SRA/B5p folks are out of luck, however.
  13. I had the 1st iPhone from the get-go. Eventually wound up with a 3G then waited way to long... Upgrading to a 5 last January was a total game-changer. What a step change. The thing does what you request immediately. Apps work great and the voice dictation is finally usable. I love the thought of having a really customizable Android phone, but the 5 fits the bill really nicely for the moment. Good luck! Sean
  14. 10% is diddily. I still sleep better knowing that if even I space locking up (however unlikely), I'll have coverage.
  15. Karl! Great to see your gal down here! Heard about your electric coat. Hope yer good, mister. Take care, Sean
