  1. I heared from a distributor in my country that as soon as the Patent will expire, a firmware update will be able to unlock this feature. Still some years to wait....
  2. If you wonder what will come next > WMAS! :
  3. Hello John, i am using a r4+ for documentaries and shorts. Also for commercials and corporate shootings. As a second unit I use sometimes my Minir 82 like stereo ambiance recording+mixing desk stereo output timecoded with the r4+. I also have old school sennheisers 416T microphones and still keep my SX-PR to power them and always really enjoy this pure analog machine. Best wishes for your new start! 4. Thank you Mike for sharing your experience, i tried this option too but as you said it is pretty sensitive to movements.. I will continue to imagine new solution and if i find something i will keep posting here! David
  5. Hello dear sound Colleagues, I am a longtime happy user of Sennheiser MKH30/40 or 50 Stereo MS rig. Coupled with a Modified Cinela Zephyx it is very efficient regarding handling noise and wind protection. I am looking for a solution to use it indoor without the cage (like the Schoeps WMS) but to no avail. Do someone have found an interresting solution of custom made foam which can protect both microphones? I was thinking to do some tests, first with some foam models of different thickness and various glue types but before doing so i turned myself toward the Mecca of sound knowledge database! Thank you very much for sharing your experiences! Best, David

  7. Personal I use a Sony PCM D50 with a cabled remote for some specific works or experiments. Reliable, no latency and cheap! The Sony remote cost heaps but it exist "Asian" alternatives for about 12$ Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  8. had some troubles to order lithium Rechargeables batteries in Switzerland but i found the SOSHINE 9v delivered from China, ordered 8 of them without troubles! maybe it will work for you in New Zealand "AndeSchurr"? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-Pcs-Lot-Soshine-9V-Rechargeable-Battery-650mAh-9V-Li-ion-Battery-with-9V-Battery-Holder/32347591280.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.nkAeAz
  9. Really cute small unit but ... 1 kg with batteries!! Kortwich is also selling a similar module with 1 till 6 channel, 320 Grams. http://www.filmtontechnik.de/en/products-from-kortwich/vcp-preamp/ i'm very curious to hear some user feedbacks
  10. Hi Donald, I had the same problem with a MKH50, i sent it to Sennheiser and the cost to fix it was about 50 Dollars included shipment. Never knew what it was.. Definitely worth to fix these microphones !!
  11. Hi Fury, What about some existing adaptations for your combo MKH 50 / MKH 30 like Cinela does? This is a prototype and Cinela is keen to built this on demand, even if they are not "satisfied" because the place is a bit missing in the Zephyx. Personnaly i use it since 4 years now and it is just perfect for my needs. SUre these mikes are not the lightest but i get used and my ears are happy everytime i listen what i going through this MS rig!
  12. Seems that one can walk faster with a wisycom thank you for this revealing and interesting A-B test! Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
