  1. With the Zaxcom I can record to an SD card on the receiver just to be safe.
  2. Chris: Not worried about the money. Thats all covered. They are treating me well. Vasileios: What Zaxcom setup would you recommend? Thanks
  3. Hello All, So I'm on the greener side of sound only having been doing basic interviews, gathering wild recordings, and the like for about 2 years. I have no formal training (like many of you out there) but I have found myself obsessed with sound and have the bug. I landed a good gig and want to go wireless to and from the camera as we will be running around like bats out of hell. Being tethered is doable but not advised. The last time I did this shoot my snake was broken three times, cam opp had no desire to pay attention, and it looked bad for me. I am very diligent about moving with the camera guy, but its almost impossible. This is what I will be using as far as gear: SD-552 2 Senn G3 (never get used for this gig) RODE NTG-3 I would like to know what you all would recommend for a wireless hop system that I could also monitor the return. I will have my bag with the mixer and boom. I have bin reading like a mad man all the posts and stuff online and am all over the place. Zaxcom looks good. Lectro looks good. What set-up is better. D4,QRX-100, Zaxcom, TRX900, Lectro 411 and all the others?? I want to send my mix from my 552 to CH 1 & 2 on the camera and be able to hear the audio from the cam. Dual mono is fine. I have called a few places and asked for advice but I feel like they just want to sell me the most expensive thing there is. I'm not so concerned about cost (its in the bank ready to be spent) rather, I just would like a proper setup. We will be in the boonies so there isn't much of an interference concern and I will never be more that 30ft apart from the cam operator. Any advice is more than welcome. Thanks
